‎Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه narrated:

‎The Prophet ﷺ said - “If you ask, then ask Allah [alone]; and if you seek help, then seek help from Allah [alone].”

‎[40 Hadith Nawawi, #19]
Ibn al-Mubaarak رحمه الله said:

“A small act may be made GREAT due to the intention [behind it] & a great act may be made SMALL due to the intention [behind it].”

[Jaami al-Uluum wa al-Hikam V.1/pg.71]
❝Indeed when a person faces calamities with patience [but] without hoping for a reward from Allaah, the calamity will become an expiation for his sins. And if he shows patience along with hoping for a reward [from Allaah], then along with being an expiation for his sins it becomes a "good recompense and reward".

And the meaning of hoping for Allaah’s reward [al-Ihtisaab] is that a person believes that he will soon be rewarded for the patience [he is showing], so he makes good his thoughts about Allaah and thus Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, will give him [a reward] according to what he thought of Him.❞

~Shaikh Ibn Uthaimeen (raḥimahullāh)
Al-Imām ibn al-Qayyim [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:

“Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy on him] once said to me:

‘Difficulties and trials are like the heat and cold. If a slave knows that they are inevitable, he does not become angry due to their occurrence, nor does he become depressed by them nor saddened.’”

Madārij us-Sālikeen, 3/361| Al-Imām ibn al-Qayyim [may Allāh have mercy on him]
Shaming your brother with his sins is greater sin than his disobedience
Dua of Prophet Ayyub(as)
Ibn al-Qayyim said:

“Allah is displeased when you stop asking of Him and mankind is displeased when asked!”

Self-Amazement Is Self-Destruction...
Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymīn رحمه الله said:

❝It is only right that a person be optimistic, feeling happy about the good he sees (in things); and he should not look at the life lying ahead of him in this world as dark and dismal so that he becomes weary (of life) and loses hope.❞

(Sharḥ Riyaḍ Al-Ṣāliḥīn, (4/115-116) | Translated By Mikail Ibn Mahboob Ariff)
Sh. Ibn al-'Uthaymeen Raḥimahullāh: “If a person shames or mocks his brother for a fault, perhaps Allāh will have mercy upon him and cure him, and then afterwards afflict the mocker with that fault.”

● [شرح رياض الصالحين ٦/٢٦٣]
Whenever Ibraaheem Ibn Ad'ham was asked:

How are you?

He replied:

"Im upon good as long as I am not carrying the sins of others [i.e.either by violating rights of others or calling to sin]."

On Humility

Our mother Aishah (r) reminded us, "You are neglecting the greatest act of worship: humility and humbleness" [Reported in K. al-Zuhd of Ibn al-Mubārak].

And Qatādah said, "Whoever is blessed with wealth, or beauty, or fine clothes, or knowledge, and doesn't become humble, shall regret those blessings on Judgment Day."

And Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr, a student of Anas b. Mālik (r), said, "The three pillars of humility are: that you sit with those whom others might think as lesser than you; and that you begin with the greetings of salām to everyone you meet; and that you genuinely dislike that you be praised for any deed."

We ask Allah for humility and humbleness, and seek His refuge from arrogance and pride.
The condition of the one who relies on Allah is like the condition of the one who is given a dirham by a King, then it gets stolen from him; so the King says to him: "I have many times as much as that, so don't worry. When you come to me, I will give you from my treasures much more than that."

Thus if (this person) knows the truthfulness of the king's statement, and trusts him, and knows that his treasures are full of that, then what he missed will not make him sad.

Problematic Issues

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah [رحمه الله] said:

«اﻟﻤﺴﺎﺋﻞ اﻟﻤﺸﻜﻠﺔ ﺇﺫا ﺧﺎﺽ ﻓﻴﻬﺎ ﺃﻛﺜﺮ اﻟﻨﺎﺱ ﻟﻢ ﻳﻔﻬﻤﻮا ﺣﻘﻴﻘﺘﻬﺎ، ﻭﺇﺫا ﺗﻨﺎﺯﻋﻮا ﻓﻴﻬﺎ ﺻﺎﺭ ﺑﻴﻨﻬﻢ ﺃﻫﻮاء ﻭﻇﻨﻮﻥ، ﻭﺃﻓﻀﻰ ﺫﻟﻚ ﺇﻟﻰ اﻟﻔﺮﻗﺔ ﻭالفتنة.»

❝If most of the people delved into problematic issues, they will not understand the reality of these issues.

When they differ in these issues then desires and presumptions occur between them and that causes and leads to splitting up and Fitnah.❞

Be Kind, Protective, Merciful And Forgiving Because There Isn't Many Of Us Left

Umar Ibn Al-Khattab [رضي الله عنه] said:

❝Whoever doesn't show mercy will not receive mercy. Whoever doesn't forgive others will not be forgiven. Whoever doesn't protect others will not be protected.❞

[Adab Mufrad, (No. 366) | Translated By Salah Al-Iranee]
🔷 Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen [رحمه الله] said:

“If you see your brother distressed, then say to him ‘have glad-tidings for relief is nearby and if you see him in hardship, then say to him ease is nearby.’”

Sharh Riyādh as-Sāliheen 4/116 | 📑
Beware Of Mockery.

Do not mock a pain you haven't endured....

'A'isha رضى الله عنها said,
“A man suffering from an affliction passed by some women and they laughed together, mocking him, and so one of them got that same affliction.”

[Âdab al-Mufrad no. 887]
If you see your brother distressed, then say to him

‘have glad-tidings for relief is nearby'

and if you see him in hardship, then say to him

'ease is nearby’

Al-Shaʿbī said: “The Hour will not be established until knowledge becomes ignorance and ignorance is seen as knowledge.”
وَقَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ: لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَصِيرَ الْعِلْمُ جَهْلًا، وَالْجَهْلُ عِلْمًا.

This is how matters will reflect at the end of time, all types of facts and realities will be altered and reversed.
