News reached ‘Umar ibn Abdul-‘Aziz that his son had purchased a ring for 1,000 dirhams.
He wrote to him: Sell it and use the money to feed 1,000 hungry people.
And for yourself, buy a ring made of iron for one dirham, and inscribe it with the words: May God have mercy on a person who knows his own worth!

Feeling lonely ? Take Heed...!
From Muhammad bin Aslam - Rahimahullaah - (d. 242 AH) that he said:
"What is there for me in this creation? I was alone in the back-bone of my father. Then i was alone in the womb of my mother. Then I entered this world alone. Then my soul will be taken alone, and I would be laid into my grave alone. Then Nakeer and Munkar (two angels) will come to me in my grave, to question me alone. If I reached goodness, I reach it alone, and if I reached evil, then also I would be alone. Then I would stand infront of Allaah, all alone. Then my (good) actions and sins, both will be put in the scale; mine alone. If I am sent to the Paradise, I am sent alone. And if I am sent to the Hell, I am sent alone. So, what is there for me in the people? "

SHOULD'NT WE WAIT TILL THE SEA PARTS? HOW TO KEEP GOING DURING HARDSHIPS By Nisaar Y. Nadiadwala
When Musa, peace be upon him, stood on the bank of the sea and the sight of the pursuing Pharaoh's army was clear, the Bani Israel panicked and screamed out: O Musa! We are trapped from both the sides. The Prophet of Allah did not agree but declared confidently " Surely not, My Lord is with me" . Mosa, peace be upon him, did not claim that he had that miraculous stick with him nor was he informed by the divine revelation that the sea would be parted, but the only assurance he had was if you bear with patience Allah will give you a way to escape.
The people of Bani Israel lost their hope in Allah just a few minutes before the help of Allah arrived. The moment they blamed their leader for their woes and their leader shows his trust in Allah, the help of Allah came and the sea was parted.
When Ibrahim, peace be upon him was thrown in fire, he refused to accept the help of even angels but looked up to only Allah, though the blazing fire was only few seconds away from him.
Yaqub, peace be upon him, waited for his dearest son for years and continued to wait, in spite being demoralized by his other sons and he said I can smell Yusuf. This was little time before the help of Allah arrived.
Ayub, peace be upon him, kept on saying Inshallah I will get alright, and during the last stages of his suffering he prostrated before Allah and continued asking for His help. He did not give up till the help of Allah arrived. Ibn Kathir says, he did not give up hopes of being cure from a disease that started at the age of 70 and continued for 17 years!
Most of us give up hopes right at a time when the help of Allah is about to descend. In other words " Most of us are unable to observe sabr with patience" Sabr is not a short term notice of waiting but it is a continuous process till Allah helps you.. Consider the last verses of Surah Al e Imran, Y Ayyuhal lazina aamanosbiroo wassabiroo.. O who believed! Have sabr and keep continuing sabr.
The easiest way to observe sabr is to increase the Dhikr of Allah during hardships. Note the Quranic verses about the days of Hajj, where Allah instructs us to to remember Him in large amount and listen to the stories of people who survived hardships and abstain from passing any negative remark about Allah's help. It could be that the sea was about to part but we looked away.

Musa (Peace be upon him) and Firaoun both ended up in the river, but the outcome for each differed.
Musa being a baby was so weak, yet the river couldn't harm him.
Firaoun being a ruler was so strong and arrogant, yet the river destroyed him and his army.
Lesson learnt: live for and by Allah, for your weakness shall not harm you, nor shall your strength benefit you.

The condition of the one who relies on Allah is like the condition of the one who is given a dirham by a King, then it gets stolen from him; so the King says to him: "I have many times as much as that, so don't worry. When you come to me, I will give you from my treasures much more than that."
Thus if (this person) knows the truthfulness of the king's statement, and trusts him, and knows that his treasures are full of that, then what he missed will not make him sad.

Why do males inherit twice as much as females? -
About inheritance, the Qur'an states:
لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ
"A son should receive the equivalent share of two daughters." [4:11].
These shares are divided based on 'responsibility', not based on gender…
For example:
1- DOWRY (مهر)
Imam Ibn al-Mundhir said:
وأجمعوا: أنَّ للمرأة أن تَمْنَع من دخول الزَّوج عليها حتى يُعطِيَها مهرها
"All scholars are in agreement that a wife can prevent her husband from cohabitating with her until he pays her dowry."
["Al-Ijmaa", 74].
Imagine this scenario:
A man has 1 son and 1 daughter.
The man dies, the inheritance is split, and $15,000 is left to be split between his children.
The son gets: $10,000 & The daughter gets: $5,000.
Soon, the son marries, and gives: $5,000 dowry...
Then the daughter marries, and gets: $5,000 dowry...
The son is now left with: $5,000.
The daughter now has: $10,000.
Who is better off?
2- SUSTENANCE (النفقة)
Imam Ibn Rushd said:
واتفقوا على أن من حقوق الزوجة على الزوج: النفقة
"All scholars are in agreement that the wife has the right of sustenance on her husband."
["Bidayat al-Mujtahid", 2/44].
Imagine this scenario:
A man has 1 son and 1 daughter.
The man dies, the inheritance is split, and $15,000 is left to be split between his children.
The son gets: $10,000 & The daughter gets: $5,000.
Soon, the son marries, and spends: $10,000 on the wedding, house, clothing, food, medical expenses, gifts, feeding guests etc... If he has other female relatives who nobody can take care of, he also has to financially support them too.
If he needs to start a business to earn money, he has to invest part of this money into that.
If his wife is incapable of working or cooking, he has to pay these expenses from his own pocket.
When the daughter marries, she still has her $5,000 inheritance, and now gets: $5,000 dowry + all her expenses covered by her husband.
The son is now left with: $0.
The daughter has: $10,000 + all expenses covered.
Who is better off?
CONCLUSION:
There are many instances where females receive more than men, but in principle: the reason why men inherit more is because they have to spend more.
Females are financially fully secure - at all times:
When a female is a child, it is her fathers responsibility to take care of all her expenses. When she has no father, it is her brothers responsibility. When she marries, it is her husbands responsibility. Even if a woman is rich and earns money - it is still the responsibility of her husband to financial take care of all her needs.
Even if a woman is a multi-millionaire, nobody can touch her money. It's all hers. She technically doesn't have to spend a penny of it on her family... it's all on the men. Females keep 100% of their wealth & inheritance, while males have to spend it.
It is better to get $10 while keeping 100% of it, than getting £1,000 while spending 100% of it.
For females, it’s like booking an all-inclusive vacation - everything is free , all covered by the man. The man is put at her service. It’s his duty to pay all the bills. At least, this is how it SHOULD be, I’m not saying that this is how it always WILL be. If men don’t fulfil their obligations, they will be liable in the sight of God and Islamic courts will force them to fulfil their obligations towards their families.
Islam does NOT call for equality, but for justice... at times, equality can be injustice.
If the financial responsibilities [التكليفات المالية] were all on males, and they received the same amount as the females - it would have been unfair to the males.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned the Prophet's Hadith:
“A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because when passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took of her shoe and draw out some water for it. So, Allah forgave her because of that.”
Ibn Taymiyyah commented:
“This woman gave water to the dog on account of the sincere faith in Allah that resided in her heart, on that account Allah forgave her. Not every prostitute will be forgiven if she gives water to a dog. This indicates that actions vary according according to the degree of faith and sincerity that resides in the hearts. Certainly, whoever performs acts of worship without sincerity to Allah, will not gain rewards for them because they are worthless. Rather, whoever does this, will subject himself to tremendous consequences, even if the acts of worship were major, such as spending on righteous causes and fighting against the disbelivers.”

The Telephone - long conversations and what results from them of sins: backbiting and slander, he say/she say and spreading secrets.
*The Sixth Thief:*
Miserliness - which will prevent you from the rewards and remuneration of charity that protects from the Fire, especially the charity in the month of Ramadān.
*The Seventh Thief:*
Gatherings - which are void of the remembrance of ALLAH TA‘ALA and which will be a cause for sorrow for their companions on the Day of Judgement.
The Final One, the Ring Leader of Thieves:
*وسائل التواصل* *الاجتماعي إن لم تستغل فيما يرضي اللّه*.
*Social Media - which is randomly utilized in what pleases Allah Ta’ala.*
So hurry, quick and have lofty ambitions about ibaadah in this holy month. It is nothing but a limited number of days and we will welcome that guest that we have been eagerly waiting for, that which many were compassionate about and were hopeful to be made joyful by it but destiny carried them away, may Allah Ta’ala the Most High have mercy on them.
May Allah Ta‘ala grant us success to reap the fruits of this noble month and spend it in doing what our Lord loves and is pleased with.
May Allah Ta‘ala grant me and you success with everything He loves and is pleased with.
Allah Ta’ala give us and guide us on the true understanding of his most beautiful Deen and make us and the entire Ummah from those that show utmost respect to his Deen by following Quraan and Sunnah in every facet of our lives and unite us with Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم and our loved ones in Jannatul Firdous.
*HADITH*
_Ummu Hani رضي الله عنها says: "I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said:_
_'O Messenger of Allah, tell me of a (easy good) deed, for I have become old and weak and overweight.'_
*He ﷺ said: Say:*
*Allahu Akbar one hundred times,*
*Al-Hamdu Lillah one hundred times,* *Subhan-Allah one hundred times.*
*(That is) better than one hundred horses bridled and saddled for the sake of Allah, better than one hundred sacrificial camels, and better than (freeing) one hundred slaves.'"*
*_(Ibn Majah 3810)_*
*✍THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY!*
☆ Calamities should strengthen your heart and reshape your outlook in a positive sense.*
☆ *Indeed, with each difficulty there is relief.*
☆ *Do not let trifles be the cause of your destruction.*
☆ *Indeed, your Lord is Oft-Forgiving.*
EXERT YOURSELF THROUGHOUT THE LAST TEN - NOT JUST THE ODD NIGHTS❗️
Shaykhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah -raḥimahullāh- was asked:
When should we look out for Laylatul Qadr?
He responded (paraphrasing):
“Laylatul Qadr occurs during the last ten nights of Ramaḍhān, as is authentically established from the Prophet ﷺ, who said:
((تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ)).
“Look out for Laylatul Qadr during the last ten nights of Ramaḍhān.”
[Reported by Bukhāri & Muslim on the authority of ‘Ā'ishah -raḍhiyallāhu ‘anhā]
And In the version of Bukhāri, he ﷺ specifically said:
((تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْوِتْرِ مِنَ الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ)).
"Look out for Laylatul Qadr during the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramaḍhān."
However, it's important to note that there are two methods of calculating the odd nights:
1⃣ - THE FIRST is to count the days that have already passed; such that Laytul Qadr falls on the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, or 29th night of Ramaḍhān.
or
2⃣ - THE SECOND is to count the days that remain, as the Prophet ﷺ said:
((الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى، فِي سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى، فِي خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى)).
“Look out for the Laylatul Qadr during the REMAINING TEN NIGHTS of Ramaḍhān; on the night when nine or seven or five nights remain.”
[Reported by Bukhāri on the authority of Ibn Abbās -raḍhiyallāhu ‘anhumā]
So according to this method, if Ramaḍhān consisted of 30 days -and only Allāh knows if this will be the case- LAYLATUL QADR MIGHT FALL ON ONE OF THE EVEN NIGHTS, because the 22nd will be the night when nine remains, the 24th will be the night when seven remains, and the 26th will be the night when five remains.
This was the understanding of Abū Sa‘īd Al-Khudri -raḍhiyallāhu ‘anhu-:
Muslim reports that Abun Naḍhr enquired:
“O Abū Sa‘īd, you know more than us about (these) numbers. He said: Yes, indeed we have better right than you. I said: What is this ninth, seventh, and fifth? He said: When 21 (nights are over) and the 22nd begins, it is the ninth. When 23 (nights) are over, that which follows (i.e. the 24th) is the seventh. When 25 nights are over, what follows (i.e. the 26th) is the fifth.”
If, however, Ramaḍhān consists of 29 days, then these two forms of calculations will be exactly the same.
This being the case, it is only befitting that the believer works hard throughout the last ten nights of Ramaḍhān - NOT JUST THE ODD NIGHTS.
This was the practice of the Prophet ﷺ as ‘Ā’ishah -raḍhiyallāhu ‘anhā- said:
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْعَشْرُ - أي العشر الأواخر من رمضان - شَدَّ مِئْزَرَهُ، وَأَحْيَا لَيْلَهُ، وَأَيْقَظَ أَهْلَهُ.
“With the start of the last ten days of Ramaḍhān, the Prophet ﷺ would tighten his waist sheet (i.e. work hard and refrain from sexual relations), pray throughout the night, and he would also wake his wives.”
[Reported by Bukhāri & Muslim]
