Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
On one occasion all the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) were with him when his daughter, Fatimah (May Allah be pleased with her) who walked after the style of her father, came there. He (ﷺ) welcomed her saying, "Welcome, O my daughter", and made her sit on his right side, or on his left side and then whispered something to her at which she wept bitterly. When he perceived her grief, he talked secretly to her again and she smiled (with happiness). I said to her: "Messenger of Allah (ﷺ chose you from amongst all his wives to speak secretly to you and yet you cried." When he left, I asked her, "What did Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say to you?" She said, "I will not divulge the secret of Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)." When Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed away, I said to her: "I adjure you by the right I have in respect of you to tell me what Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had told you." She said: "Now (when Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has died), I will tell you. When he whispered to me the first time, he told me, 'Jibril (Gabriel) used to listen to my recitation of the Qur'an and then recite it back to me once or twice a year, and this time he has done it twice; and so I perceive that my death is approaching. Then be mindful of your duty to Allah and be patient and steadfast, for I shall be an excellent predecessor for you.' On this I wept as you saw. When he perceived my distress he talked to me secretly the second time and said, 'O Fatimah, are you not pleased that you will be the chief among the believing women or of this Ummah?' This made me smile as you saw."

Al-Hasan Al-Basrī رحمه الله said:

“The roots of evil and its branches are six [altogether]:

- The three roots are envy, greed, and love of the worldly life

- And the branches are also [three]: love of leadership, love of praise, and love of pride”

[Al-‘Aqd Al-Farīd: 2/173]
ANXIETY, GRIEF AND SADNESS

Indeed the servant in this life may be afflicted with various types of pain, and it is possible that numerous events may cause restlessness to his heart, bring pain to his soul and result in him suffering from irritation and worry.

If the pain that afflicts the heart is connected with affairs from the past then it is sadness.

If it is connected with affairs of the future, then it is anxiety.

If it is connected to something that the individual is currently experiencing and going through, then it is grief.

These three affairs: sadness, anxiety, and grief, are removed from the heart and they vanish from it by truly returning to Allah, [having] complete humility, subservience, submissiveness to Him - Glorified be He - and surrender to His command. [Likewise, having] belief in His Decree and Preordainment, knowledge of Him - Glorified be He - and knowledge of His Names and Attributes.

This is achieved through belief in His Books, and being diligent to recite it, contemplate over it, and act upon that which is within it.

This is the only way - and there is no other way - for these things to disappear, for the breast to be content, and happiness to be attained.

*🍃 _The Evil Dangers Of Bid’ah_ 🍃*

Bid’ah (innovation) indicates evil dangers:

Firstly: It indicates a belying of the saying of ALLĀH: *“This day I have perfected your religion for you.” (Al-Maa’idah 5:3)*

Because when somebody comes with an innovation and considers it as a form of religion; its implication is that the religion is not perfect.

Secondly: It indicates a defamation of the Sharee’ah, and that it is imperfect, so this innovator is the one who makes it perfect with his act of innovation.

Thirdly: It indicates a defamation of the Muslims, who do not practice this innovation; so, those people who lived before this innovation; their religion is incomplete – this is a grave danger!

Fourthly: Among the implications of this innovation is that what prevails is that whoever is occupied with an innovation, he would be distracted from a Sunnaah, as some of the Salaf said: “People will not innovate an innovation, except that they will demolish its like from the Sunnaah.”

Fifthly: These innovations lead to separations in the Ummaah, because these innovators believe that they are the upholders of the truth, and that the others are misguided! And people of the truth say: “You are the ones upon misguidance.” So, their hearts separate.

All of these grave evils result from an innovation because it is an innovation, in addition to the fact that this innovation is accompanied by foolishness in one’s reason, and an imbalance in religion.

🌸 Healing from Trauma: Using the Feelings Wheel 🌸

Are you a Muslim woman on a healing journey from trauma?

Understanding and addressing your emotions is an essential step towards healing and finding inner peace. Let's explore how the Feelings Wheel can assist you in identifying and resolving specific feelings and emotions that arise during your healing process.

🎡 The Feelings Wheel:

The Feelings Wheel is a powerful tool that helps us pinpoint and express our emotions with more precision. It consists of various emotional categories and provides a detailed range of feelings within each category. By using this wheel, you can gain clarity and a deeper understanding of the emotions you are experiencing at any given moment.

🔎 Identifying and Addressing Emotions:

1️⃣ Take a moment to observe and acknowledge your emotions. Use the Feelings Wheel to explore the different shades and nuances of your feelings. Are you feeling sad, angry, anxious, hurt, inadequate, humiliated, or any other specific emotion?

2️⃣ Once you have identified the specific emotions, dive deeper into understanding their root causes. Reflect on the traumas or experiences that may have triggered these emotions. Recognising these connections can help you address and heal them more effectively.

3️⃣ Each emotion requires a unique approach for healing. For example, sadness may need to be addressed by allowing yourself to grieve, seeking support from loved ones, or engaging in self-care practices that bring comfort and solace. Anger may benefit from techniques like journaling, mindfulness, or seeking professional guidance.

4️⃣ Remember to practice self-compassion throughout the healing process. It's okay to feel a wide range of emotions, and healing takes time. Be patient with yourself and prioritise self-care as you navigate your journey.

💗 Embracing Healing and Peace:

By utilising the Feelings Wheel, you empower yourself to identify, understand, and address the emotions that arise from your trauma. This process allows you to heal and find inner peace as a Muslim woman on a transformative journey.

Remember, healing is unique to each individual, and seeking professional help and guidance is always encouraged if needed. You are not alone in this journey, and there is a supportive community ready to embrace you with open arms.

Together, let's embrace healing, resilience, and renewal as Muslim women. May your journey be filled with compassion, strength, and the restoration of your beautiful spirit. 💕🌷

Allah says in Glorious Quran,
*"And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers."* (Surah. Adh-Dhaariyat: Ayah 55)

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
*"The one who guides to something good has a reward similar to the one doing it" (Muslim)*
*"Convey (knowledge) from me even if it is just one ayah"* [Bukhari 3461].
THE ONE WHO DENIES QADAR (Divine Decree)!

Chapter No: 60, Kitab At-Tauhid, The Book of Monotheism

Muslim reported that Ibn Umar (رضي الله عنهما) said:

"By Him (Allah) in Whose Hand is the soul of lbn Umar, if anyone possessed gold amount to Uhud mountain and spent it all in the cause of Allah, Allah would not accept it unless he believes in Qadar (Divine Decree)." Then he cited as evidence the words of the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم: "Iman (Belief) is to believe in: 1) Allah; 2) His angels; 3) His revealed Books; 4) His Messengers; 5) The Day of Resurrection and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments), the good and the bad of it."

It is reported by Ubadah bin As-Samit (رضي الله عنه):

He said to his son, "O son, you'll never get the taste of Iman until and unless you realize that what has afflicted you was not to miss you and what has missed you was not to afflict you. I heard Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم saying: 'The first thing Allah created was the pen. He ordered it to write. It said: My Lord what shall I write? He said: Write down the Destinies of all things until the establishment of the Hour'. O my son, I hear Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم saying: 'Who dies believing something other than this, does not belong to me.' "

In a slightly different version by Ahmad:

"The first thing Allah created was the pen. He said to it: 'Write' and in that very hour all what was to occur (was written) until the Day of Resurrection."

In another narration by Ibn Wahb, Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم said:

"Whoever does not believe in Qadar (Divine Preordainment), whether good or bad, will be burned by Allah in the Hell-fire."

It is reported in Musnad Ahmad and Sunan Abi Dawud on the authority of Ibn Ad-Dailami that he said:

I went to Ubai bin Ka'b (رضي الله عنه) and I said to him "There is something within me (doubt) -regarding Al-Qadar. Please narrate to me something that perhaps by it Allah would take it (doubt) from my heart." He said, "Even if you spend gold equal to the weight of Uhud mountain, Allah will not accept it until you believe in Qadar. And know that what has afflicted you was not to miss you and what has missed you was not to afflict you and if you die believing something other than this, then you are one of the people of Hell-fire." I then went to Abdullah bin Mas'ud, and Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman and Zaid bin Thabit (رضي الله عنهم) and they all reported something similar from the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم to me.

The above quoted Hadith is Sahih. Al-Hakim reported it in his collection Sahih.

IMPORTANT ISSUES OF THE CHAPTER

1) Explanation of the obligation to believe in Al-Qadar.

2) Explanation of how to believe regarding it.

3) Uselessness of the deeds of one who does not believe in it.

4) No one can get the sweetness of Iman unless he believes in Qadar (Divine Preordainment).

5) A mention of what Allah created first.

6) That the pen wrote down all the events to take place till the last day.

7) The Prophet's disapproval of whoever does not have belief in Qadar.

8) The habit of the pious predecessors to refer the matter to scholars to clear any doubts.

9) The scholars of Islam answered with what cleared all doubts regarding Qadar by only giving reference to the statements of Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم.

Minding Our Own Business and Not Busying Oneself With Things Other Than That

Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullah) writes:

The most beneficial remedy is that you preoccupy yourself with thoughts of what should concern you and not those that should not concern you!

Thinking about what does not matter to you is the door of every evil!

Whoever reflects upon what does not concern him, then he will miss what does concern him!

The problem in our Ummah is that Muslims set wrong priorities. We pay more attention to visible rituals and neglect the real purpose of Islam. It's the most important, it's Al-Akhlaq [manners, character]. When we visit the masjid, pray, fast and more, these are rituals. But what is with your ego, your nafs, what we should control also?

Many of us have tongues like knives, are notorious, are not on time, lie without shame, abuse the trust [amanah], judge above others without any right, can't control their sexual instincts, jealousy, greed, anger, are racist, are not merciful to each other and intolerant.

The rituals are coherent with your Al-Akhlaq [manners]. We should start to overthink about our nafs. Surely nobody is perfect and or without of flaws, but we should strive for knowledge for being a better human in future, in sha Allah.

Deen and Akhlaq should be our first priority ❣️.
💯2
I feel like a lot of Muslims underestimate the power of God. Allah can do anything. He parted the Red Sea, cooled fire, and split the moon in half. What makes you think that He cannot deal with your relatively small problems? Make duaa, wallah He's there.

Being an employee is not bad, don't quit your 9-5 job:

God says:
ورفعنا بعضهم فوق بعض درجات
ليّتخذ بعضهم بعضاً سخريّاً!
'𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴,
𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.'
[Qur’an 43:32].

The Prophet himself was once an employee, as he said about himself:
كنت أرعاها على قراريط لأهل مكة!
"𝗜 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗰𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗾𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘀.”
['Mishkat al-Masabih', 2983 - صَحِيح].
https://sunnah.com/mishkat:2983

There are some people who tell the youth: quit your 9-5 jobs, employees are slaves, be your own boss, etc.

That’s rubbish advise!

There is no shame in being employed and working for someone else, if the job itself is halal and one is paid and treated respectfully.

The Prophet Moses was employed for many years by his father-in-law. This has been the Sunnah of Allah in the creation for thousands of years.

There is no shame in working for an employer.

As for 9-5s:

It may be a good idea to start off with a 9-5 job, and then do some side-hustles on the side.

Don't be stupid to drop your 9-5!

Don't fall for these motivational speeches, google 'Survivorship bias', and read about it. Almost all (90%) of start-up businesses fail, while with 9-5s, you know exactly what your salary will be every month, no matter the business performance.

If you say: the employer takes the profits, I just get my salary! Yes, but the employer also takes the hits, if things go wrong!

And if you say: I want to be my own boss!

Nobody is his own boss, there is a joke about this taxi driver, who was previously employed, and now does taxis. He was explaining: 'Now I can start when I want, I can finish when I want, Nobody checks on me, I'm my own boss...', as he was saying this, a passenger from the back shouted: 'TAKE A LEFT HERE...'

So, there is always an element of listening to others.

Nobody is fully his own boss.

To be rich, you do need to do something for yourself.

So, stick to your 9-5, but start something on the side... once that is successful, then leave your job. The 9-5 can be your safety net, in case your side-hustle fails.

When A Thing Overpowers You

Sh. Ibn al-‘Uthaymīn Raḥimahullāh: “When something tires and overpowers you say: ‘Laa Ḥawla Walaa Quwwata Illaa Billaah’, then Allāh will make it easy for you.”

● [شرح رياض الصالحين ٥\٥٢٢]
‎Hasan al-Basri رحمه الله said:

‎“The Qurʿān was meant to be acted upon, but people took reciting it as the required deed.”

‎[تلبيس إبليس]
Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said that on the day of judgment, the arrogant will be assembled on the day of judgment in the forms of men, but in the sizes of ants; humiliation will come to them from every direction. Dharr are the ants that are very small. They will be stepped on by everyone. People will be running on the Day of Judgment and stepping on it.

It used to be said:
‎صحبة الأشرار
توجب سوء الظن بالأخيار
“𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹 (ashraar)
𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀
𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀.” (akhyaar)

Like a cat which has been tortured, when you then try to stroke its head, it thinks you’re trying to hurt her!

Those who hang out with thieves and cheaters, think everyone is a thief and a cheat.

Similarly, hanging out with the righteous will have the opposite positive effect.

This is why God says:
‎وَكُونُواْ مَعَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
"𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘧𝘶𝘭." [9:119].
