In this age of entrepreneurs and hyper rich people, the best advice I can give to our youth regarding rizq is that it is more dependent on Allah’s will then your own hardwork. This is not to deny hardwork’s role. But how many a people do same hard work or even more than a person who became a millionaire or billionaire, yet they never reach that figure. Yet those who have reached that figure will tell you that to be honest it was mostly luck and fluke and that perhaps they did not do that much hardwork as others have.

So keep revising these lessons:
1- Allah expands rizq for whomever He wants and constricts for whomever He wants.

2- Taqwa (God consciousness) and tawakkul (trust in Allah) are key to rizq. Hardwork comes later.

3- The above may make you ask, why then we have hyper rich men who are non Muslims and don’t have taqwa or tawakkul. The answer to this is, rizq is not just financial wealth. Rizq is social wealth (loyal people attached to you who love you for Allah’s sake), time wealth (barakah in time and getting time to do good deeds), Emotional wealth (contentment, composure, tranquility). If you are simply looking for money, then follow their rules. But if you are looking for the holistic concept of rizq then follow Islamic rules.

Imaam Maalik Ibn Anas (d.179H) – May Allah haver Mercy on him – said,

"Whosoever introduces into Islaam an innovation, and holds it to be something good, has indeed alleged that Muhammad (sallalahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) had betrayed the message"

Read the saying of Allaah – the Most Blessed, the Most High.

الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الإِسْلاَمَ دِينًا

This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your religion. (Al-Ma’idah 5:3)

So that which was not part of the Religion at that time, cannot be part of the Religion today. And the last part of this Ummah cannot be rectified, except by that which rectified its first part.”

Imam Shāfiʿī رحمه الله said,

“A man once asked Ubay b. Kaʿb رضي الله عنه, ‘Exhort me with something I can benefit by and by which I will be rewarded.’

He replied, ‘Be brotherly with brothers according to how righteous they are, do not expend your speech on those who are not interested in it, do not seek anyone to meet your need who does not care if he does not fulfil it, and do not envy the living except for something you would envy the dead.’”

When the first ten days (of Zul Hijjah) begin, if he has a sacrificial animal that he wants to offer as a sacrifice, let him not remove anything from his hair or trim his nails.

EID-UL-FITR
The time for this takbeer begins when the sun sets on the night of Eid (i.e., the night before) if it is known that the new month has begun when the sun sets, such as when the people have completed thirty days of Ramadaan, or when it is proven that the new moon of Shawwaal has been sighted. And it ends when the prayer begins, i.e., when they start the Eid prayer then the time for the takbeer ends.

EID-UL-ADHA
It is Sunnah to recite takbeer at any time during the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah and all the days of Tashreeq, starting from the beginning of the month of Dhu’l-Hijjah (i.e., from sunset on the last day of Dhu’l-Qa’dah) until the end of the days of al-Tashreeq, which is when the sun sets on the thirteenth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah).

Bukhārī stated in his Saheeh without a connected chain of narration (declared saheeh by Al-Albānī in Irwā al-Ghalīl no. 651) from Ibn ‘Umar and Abu Abu Hurayrah (L):

أنهما كانا يخرجان إلى السوق أيام العشر فيكبران ويكبر

“They would both go out to the market place during the ten days making the takbīr and the people would follow them in making the takbīr.”

𝟭. 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 💪
Believers that speak a lot can harbor all sorts of illnesses like ego, grudge or hate in their hearts. However, silence allows inner reflection that only leads to a clean and calmer heart purified of any disease.
The Prophet PBUH said, “Don’t talk much unless for zikr of Allah (remembrance of God) , because much-talking leads to indomitable heart and the furthest human from Allah is the one with indomitable heart, those who unwilling to receive guidance.” [Tirmidi]

𝟮. 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗱 ✅
Good deeds are a ticket to Jannah (paradise). Allah and His Messenger have defined minor and major good deeds for us to follow. Silence is one of the small good deeds that we can perform to increase our weight of goodness on the Day of Judgement - especially when it comes to staying silent after someone angers or insults us.
Ali ibn Abi Thalib said, “No good in silence when it comes to knowledge, just as there is no good in speaking when it comes to ignorance.”

𝟯. 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺 🧠
“The wiser a man is, the less he will speak.”
Silence helps us gain wisdom, as it allows us to understand situations from different perspectives & gives us time to think about and improve our speech.
Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq once said “One who knows the value of his speech will also know the value of silence. In fact, if one adopts silence, he will value his speech and therefore guard it like he guards his wealth.”

𝟰. 𝗔𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗱𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗿 📿
When we are silent and avoid involving ourselves in every conversation, we have more time to make dhikr and think about Allah. Being able to stay quiet sometimes is really a mercy from Him ❤️

𝟱. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝘀‼️
Backbiting, arguing, gossiping etc are all rooted in excessive talking. These are grave sins that are like water drops, once accumulating over time can become as big as the sea. Allah SWT and the Prophet PBUH advised us to stay silent as it will protect from these sins that can land us in Hellfire.

𝟲. 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 🤝
Since people talk only to reply back in a heated argument and as it is said that time and words cannot be taken back. So choosing silence while the other person is angry, helps to calm the situation down and gives time to truly understand other party’s perspective. The Prophet PBUH said, “Speak a good word or remain silent.“

𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 ✨

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas رضي الله عنهما reports that
Rasulullah ﷺ said:

‘The best water on earth is zam zam. It is food for the hungry and cure for the sick.’

Allah made the fire in this worldly life as a reminder of the fire of the Hereafter | Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan حفظه الله

Great scholar Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullah) writes,

"Six matters linked to signs of hypocrisy:

1) Laziness when standing for prayer.
2) Intending to show off with one's prayer.
3) Delaying the prayer.
4) Praying in an extremely hasty manner.
5) Barely remembering Allah during the prayer.
6) Abandoning the congregational prayer."

[Hukm Tarik al-Salat, p. 105]

If this is the case with those who actually pray and demonstrate these signs, how about those who do not pray at all?

رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْنِى مُقِيمَ ٱلصَّلَوٲةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى‌ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَآءِ

“O my Lord! Maintain me as one who establishes prayer, and some of my descendants [children]; O our Lord! and accept my prayer.” (Al Qurʾān 14:40)[Surah Ibraheem]

البيتُ الذي يُقْرَأُ فيه القرآنُ ، يتراءى لأهلِ السماءِ كما تَتَراءَى النجومُ لأهْلِ الأرضِ!
‘𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗤𝘂𝗿’𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝘆

It might take ages just for layman to take days of Dhul Hijjah more seriously than days of Ramadan. Just to fill the mosques like they do in Ramadan…

By this very sad reality, you can guage where the general masses among Muslims stand w.r.t knowledge and how much work of spreading the knowledge needs to be done at the ground level by every Muslim who knows, at the forefront of which is the knowledge of Tawheed, without which everything falls apart.

There is no room for shyness in spreading knowledge and nothing is trivial. There is extreme wisdom in the saying of the Prophet ‎ﷺ when he asked each one who hears to convey to others in his final sermon by his noble words - [لِيُبَلِّغِ الشَّاهِدُ الغَائِب], thus emphasizing the magnitude of da'wah required by the word of mouth - one to one ; minimum.

And true is the saying of the most high, Allah ﷻ according to whom the majority of the inhabitants of earth are involved in Shirk … Be it a disbeliever who doesn’t know Islam or be it a Muslim who delves into shirk almost daily in numerous ways possible both openly & discretely unaware of the fire they’re playing with, either by their speech or actions of hearts and limbs.

May Allah save us all through beneficial knowledge and Tawfeeq to act upon it. Ameen

Don't take the first ten days of Dhulhijjah lightly! These are the best ten days over the year. Look at them the same as you look at the last 10 days of Ramadan. Remind each other. Because most of us do not know about this. Remember, every text you send to people to remind about good deeds is a good deed, let alone if they do it. So, prepare your heart and ask Allah ﷻ to help you.

Ibn ‘Abbas رضي الله عنه said:

“Praying two rak‘ah with contemplation is better than praying all night while the heart is heedless.”

Lessons learned from stoning the Jamrat

Q: What lessons are to be learned from stoning the Jamrat (stone pillars at which pebbles are thrown during Hajj, Jamrat-ul-’Aqabah being the closest to Makkah)?

A: Stoning Jamrat-ul-’Aqabah (the closest stone pillar to Makkah) on the Day of ‘Eid (Festival) and the three Jamrat on the Days of Tashriq (11th, 12th and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah) in Mina at the times specified by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) teaches the Muslim a number of lessons:

First, it follows the example of our father Ibrahim (Abraham, (صلى الله عليه وسلم)) when Satan attempted to dissuade him from performing his duty, and that of our Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) when he legislated this for his Ummah (nation based on one creed) at the Farewell Hajj.

Second, it establishes Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah) as the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) stated: "Verily, Tawaf (circumambulation) around the Ka’bah, Sa’y (going) between Safa and Marwah, and stoning the Jamrat are all ordained to establish the Remembrance of Allah."

Third, restriction to number seven has a great wisdom behind it, for it reminds of what Allah has prescribed to be done this number of times; we stone with seven pebbles and perform Tawaf and Sa’y seven times. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) stated: "Observe Witr (Prayer with an odd number of units) for Allah is Witr (He is One, and it is an odd number) and loves what is Witr." There is great wisdom in whatever Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) legislates for His Servants which they may or may not come to know. However, they are quite certain that Allah (سبحانه) is All-Wise, All-Knowing, and never does or legislates anything in vain.

Fourth, Islam is submission to and compliance with the Commands of Allah. Muslims are ordered to carry out acts of ‘Ibadah (worship) according to the Nas (Islamic texts from the Qur’an or the Sunnah), even if they do not fully comprehend their profound meanings, for Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. Human knowledge is deficient and insignificant compared to the Knowledge of Allah (سبحانه وتعالى). Muslims must submit to the Law of Allah and obey His Command, even without knowing the underlying wisdom.

Fifth, stoning the Jamrat engenders humility and submission while performing the act in compliance with the Command of Allah; it disciplines and accustoms the Muslim to abide by specifics and order like going to stone the three Jamrat, the third being Jamrat-ul-’Aqabah, then limiting oneself to seven pebbles, along with maintaining silence and avoiding harming others with words or deeds. All this makes the Muslim accustomed to put affairs in order and carry them out at their due times.

Sixth, safeguarding the pebbles and not misplacing them because of valuing the importance of what Allah has legislated without exceeding the limits or being negligent.
