The example of the person who recites the Qur'an
Narrated Abu Musa radi Allahu Anhu The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The example of a believer who recites the Qur'an and acts on it, like a citron which tastes nice and smells nice. And the example of a believer who does not recite the Qur'an but acts on it, is like a date which tastes good but has no smell. And the example of a hypocrite who recites the Qur'an is like a Raihana (sweet basil) which smells good but tastes bitter And the example of a hypocrite who does not recite the Qur'an is like a colocynth which tastes bitter and has abad smell."
Sahih Bukhari, Book 61, Hadith 579
Narrated Uqbah ibn Amir al-Juhani The Prophet (ﷺ) said: One who recites the Qur'an in a loud voice is like one who gives alms openly; and one who recites the Qur'an quietly is one who gives alms secretly.

Between prosperity and destruction
Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him (d. 751 AH), said:
ابن القيم: فما خراب العالم إلا بالجهل، ولا عمارته إلا بالعلم، وإذا ظهر العلم في بلد أو محلة قل الشر في أهلها، وإذا خفى العلم هناك ظهر الشر والفساد. ومن لم يعرف هذا فهو ممن لم يجعل الله له نورا. قال الإمام أحمد: ولولا العلم كان الناس كالبهائم
"The destruction of this world is only a consequence of ignorance, and its prosperity is only possible through Islamic knowledge. If knowledge appears in a country or locality, evil decreases among its inhabitants, and if knowledge disappears (or is hidden), evil and injustice appear. And whoever does not know this is one of those to whom Allah has not given light. Imam Ahmad (d. 241 AH) said: 'If it were not for Islamic knowledge, people would be like animals.'"

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “The one who is bankrupt among my ummah is the one who will come on the Day of Resurrection with prayer, fasting and zakaah, but he will come having insulted this one, slandered that one, consumed the wealth of this one, shed the blood of that one and beaten this one. They will each be given from his good deeds, and if his good deeds run out before the scores have been settled, some of their bad deeds will be taken and cast upon him, then he will be thrown into Hell.” [Muslim 2581]

Do Not Grieve Over The Past
Shaykh AbduRahmaan As-Sa'adi [رحمه الله] said:
❝Do not grieve over past matters which have not been destined, from ill health, or loss of wealth or a worldly matter, etc.
Your concern should be with rectification of actions on the day.
Since a person is living in the moment. He should not be saddened for what has passed. Also he should not research into the future where that research would not be of any benefit.
It is upon you to be truthful, fulfill your contracts, keep to one's promises and justice in all dealings.
Fulfilling rights completely and perfectly with a tranquil soul and with truthful pure Eemaan.
Busy yourself with your own mistakes and your matters, rather than the mistakes of the people and their matters.
Deal with everyone according to their situation and condition, whether he is a senior, or youngster, male or female, a leader or a follower.
Be gentle and merciful to everyone even animals and livestock, since indeed Allaah is merciful to his merciful worshippers.
Be balanced in all your matters, and open up your mind to every religious and worldly benefit.❞

You Will Be Punished For Opposing The Sunnah
On the authority of Sa'eed b. Musayyib (d. 94H) rahimahullaah that he saw a man praying more than Rak'atain (two units of prayer) after the emergence of al-Fajr (i.e. time for Fajr prayer). He was making a lot of Rukoos (bowings) and prostrations in his prayer so he (Sa'eed b. Musayyib) forbade him from that. So he (the man) said: 'O Aboo Muhammad, will Allaah punish me for praying? He said: 'No, but He will punish you for opposing the Sunnah.'"
Al-Albaanee (d. 1419H) rahimahullaah said:
"This is from the wonderful replies of Sa'eed b. Musayyib (rahimahullaah ta'ala) and it is a strong weapon against the Mubtadi ah (innovators) who regard many of the innovations as good and commendable in the name that they are Dhikr (remembrance of Allaah) and Salaah (prayer). Then they rebuke the Ahlus-Sunnah for forbidding that upon them and accuse them of forbidding the Dhikr and Salaah! Whilst in reality, they are only forbidding them from their opposition to the Sunnah in the Dhikr, the prayer and the likes of that."

Islam Will Prevail
Do not lose hope, nor be sad. Keep making du'ä and seek Alläh's aid
Narrated Khabbab bin Al-Arat:
"We complained to Allah's Messenger (5) (of the persecution inflicted on us by the infidels) while he was sitting in the shade of the Ka'ba, leaning over his Burd (i.e. covering sheet).
We said to him, "Would you seek help for us? Would you pray to Allah for us?"
He said, "Among the nations before you a (believing) man would be put in a ditch that was dug for him, and a saw would be put over his head and he would be cut into two pieces;
yet that (torture) would not make him give up his religion.
His body would be combed with iron combs that would remove his flesh from the bones and nerves, yet that would not make him abandon his religion.
By Allah, this religion (i.e. Islam) will prevail till a traveler from Sana (in Yemen) to Hadrarmaut will fear none but Allah, or a wolf as regards his sheep, but you (people) are hasty."

Forgotten Sunnah : Praying 2 rak'ah after the 'Asr prayer
Many people as well as some scholars are unaware of the fact that praying after 'Asr is not forbidden, rather the times when prayer or prostration is haraam are:
When the sun is in the process of RISING (i.e during dawn)
When the sun is directly overhead at noon until it has passed its zenith
When the sun is just about to set or in the process of SETTING .
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "There are two prayers that the messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) never neglected to pray in my house secretly or publicly: Two Rak'ah before Fajr and two Rak'ah after Asr."
And,
isha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Anytime Allah's messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) came to my house after Asr he prayed two Rak'ah.

There was a time when if a person wanted to acquire a Hadith, he would travel for months, and if the person from whom he wanted to get the Hadith did not properly observe the prayer, he would not take knowledge from him. Today, we have people who don't even pray the five daily prayers, yet they use their own intellect to accept or reject Hadith.

Some of them repent and turn back to their Lord, or else the punishment (hadd) is carried out on them. So it is not permissible to criticize them because their souls have been purified by their repentance or the punishment.
📚 The Prophet ﷺ said: “The one who repents from sin is like one who has never sinned.”
[Sunan Ibn Maajah]
It may be that what he meant is that your criticizing your brother for his sin is an even greater sin than his, because it means that you feel pride in your obedience and you are praising yourself for that, and claiming to be free from sin, whereas your brother has fallen into sin.
But it may be that his feeling humble because of his sin and what has happened to him, such as his feeling humble and submissive, thinking less of himself, ridding himself of pious pretensions, arrogance and self-admiration, standing before Allah with his head bowed, his gaze lowered and his heart broken, it may be that all of that is better for him than your feeling proud of your obedience, thinking that you are doing much good, believing that by doing so you are important, and reminding Allah and mankind of that.
❝The groaning of the sinners is more beloved to Allah than the tasbeeh of the conceited. A sin that leads to humility is more beloved to Him than an act of obedience which fills a person with conceit.❞

Ibn Kathīr mentions that in the year 478 AH (1085 CE) a disease and plague accompanied by severe fever broke out in Iraq, Syria and Hijaz.
It caused both domestic and wild animals to die, leaving the people with no meat or milk. It was accompanied by black winds and thunderbolts that brought down entire trees. The people thought that Judgement Day had arrived!
In order to combat this epidemic, the Abbasid Caliph Al-Muqtadī bi Amrillāh (d. 487 AH/1094 CE) commanded that everyone strive to command the good and forbid the evil.
Every musical instrument was crushed and destroyed, bottles of alcohol were smashed and spilled, and the wicked were exiled from the land. Soon thereafter the disease disappeared.

*Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allaah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.*
(29:2-3)

Many before you were tested. The Prophets of Allah (عليه السلام) were tested and were successful because of their patience.
💠 Ibrahim (عليه السلام) was thrown into the fire.
💠 Yunus (عليه السلام) was swallowed by a whale.
💠 Yaqub ( عليه السلام) lost his eyesight.
💠 Ayyub ( عليه السلام) was tested with his health.
💠 Muhammad (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) was an orphan who also lost his children at their tender ages.
They were all successful because of their sincere trust in Allah (ﷻ) and patience.
--
It was narrated from Mus'ab bin Sa'd (رضي الله عنه) that his father, Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas (رضي الله عنه), said:
"I said: "O Messenger of Allah, which people are most severely tested?' He said: _*"The Prophets, then the next best and the next best. A person is tested according to his religious commitment. If he is steadfast in his religious commitment, he will be tested more severely, and if he is frail in his religious commitment, his test will be according to his commitment. Trials will continue to afflict a person until they leave him walking on the earth with no sin on him.'"*_

The Patient and their Reward
In continuation of Ayah 155 (above) from Surah al-Baqarah, Allaah (ﷻ) says:
*(Those) Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allaah, and indeed to Him we will return." Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.*
(2:156-157)
That is, when they are touched with afflictions, they do not speak ill of their Lord nor seek help from other than Him, their reward is blessing from their Lord, and He rewards them beyond what has been taken from them.
What to do in Periods of Afflictions
Allah (ﷻ) says,
*O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.*
(2:153)
---
And how Merciful is Allah (ﷻ), He promises not once but twice that:.
*For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.*
(94:5-6)
With Allah, the soul finds comfort and the sweetness of eeman.
May Allah (ﷻ) grant us true patience.

You felt it's not easy to move on because:
▪️You lost a loved one?
▪️Your job?
▪️Your properties?
Or maybe, you feel you've lost everything!
No! Do not despair in the Mercy of Allah (ﷻ) for this is a chance to win His pleasure.
Allah says,
*And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient*
(2:155)
Somewhere else,

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen rahimahullaah said:
“If you were to study history, if you were to go away and study the history, Islaamic history, you would find that ahlus Sunnah were the strangers, regardless of what time that they lived in. Ahlus Sunnah were the strangers, regardless of what time that they lived in.” He said, “…the difference of opinions, the disputes, the different beliefs, the different religions and sects, you would find that the person of the Sunnah, is like the white dot upon the horses’ head.” The person of the Sunnah, is like the white dot upon the horses’ head; meaning he’s small in number.

Sometimes we don't realize that the moment someone thinks of us when they need help is like they have hope in us and we might be one of their answered prayers that Allah (swt) sends to them, So be kind always.
Oh, to be the reason of someone else's relief. ❤️🩹
