What The Heart Acquires From The Qur’aan
The Allaama Ibn Uthaymeen [رحمه الله] said:
❝Every time a person’s Eeman strengthens with the Qur’aan, then Allaah gives Yaqeen [certainty] due to the evidences of the Qur’aan which cannot be found in any other book.
This is why I encourage you and my self to have complete concern for the Qur’aan, reciting it, reflecting upon it and acting upon it.
Experience this for yourself, return to the Qur’aan in these matters and see what your heart acquires from Eemaan, delight of the heart, light of the heart and light on the face.❞

It was narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) – in a hadeeth that has many corroborating reports and isnaads – that he said: “Allaah will judge between His creation, jinn, men and animals. On that Day, Allaah will let the hornless animal settle its score with the horned until, when there is nothing left to be settled, Allaah will say to them, ‘Be dust.’ At that point the kaafir will say, ‘Would that I were dust.’”

لا تدري لعل الله يحدث بعد ذلك أمراً
"You never know, perhaps Allāh will bring about a change (of affair) later." {65:1}
An āyah imparting hope & optimism. Keep it at the forefront of your mind - read it whenever you feel you're on a losing streak or missing out on something.

Allah's provisions may come in the form of making it easy for a person to be steadfast in the face of a trial.

A page of the Qur’an recovered from the rubble in the city of Derna, Libya 🇱🇾
“If a wound has touched you, be sure a similar wound has touched the others. And so are the days (good and not so good), We give to men by turns, that Allâh may test those who believe, and that He may take martyrs from among you. And Allâh likes not the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).” [Surah Aal-e-Imran (3:140)]

And Allâh likes not the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).” [Surah Aal-e-Imran (3:140)]
The Prophet (sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) gave precedence to the rights of parents over other affairs, like Jihād upon the battlefield, as occurs in this particular hadīth and other ahādīth:
A man approached the Prophet (sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and he said to him:
“I want to fight alongside you, O Messenger of Allāh.”
So the Messenger of Allāh (sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said to him:
“Are your parents still alive?”
The man replied: “Yes.”
So then the Prophet (sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“That’s where your striving should be, in serving them.”
This hadīth is reported by Imām al-Bukhārī and also Imām Muslim from the hadīth of ‘Abdullāh bin ‘Amr ibnul ‘Ās (radhiyallāhu ‘anhumā).
So he gave precedence to obedience of parents, being dutiful and kind to them and serving them, over Jihād in Allāh’s way due to the greatness of the rights of parents and the greatness of the obligation of serving them. You serve them in terms of your speech and your actions, seeking in that the pleasure of Allāh, the Great and the Most High.

Warning from begging when you have the means
Narrated Qabisa bin Mukhariq al-Hilali (RA):
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "Begging is not lawful except to one of three (people): a man who has become a guarantor for a payment, for whom begging is lawful till he gets it, after which he must stop begging; a man whose wealth has been destroyed by a calamity which has befallen him, for whom begging is lawful till he gets what will support life; and a man who has been struck by poverty, the genuineness of which is confirmed by three intelligent members of his people, so it is lawful for him to beg." [Reported by Muslim].
Abu Hurairah narrated that:
the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: “Whoever begs from people so as to accumulate more riches, he is asking for alive coal from hell, so let him ask for a lot or a little.” [ibn Majah 1838, Sahih]
Allah's messenger as saying,
“When a man is always begging from people the result will be that he will come on the day of resurrection with no flesh on his face.”

Qurʾān: Quality over Quantity
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“If the people knew the sweetness, and benefits in pondering over the Qurʾān when reading it, they would have kept themselves busy with nothing else but reading Qurʾān.
For reading and pondering over one verse is better than a ḵẖatma (completion of the whole Qurʾān) without contemplation nor understanding.
It's also more beneficial to the heart, attains Īmān and makes one taste the sweetness of the Qurʾān.”
