which are the result of their actions, injustice and wrongdoing.”

“What makes you cry?”

He said: “I did not read my portion of the Qur’an yesterday, and I think it is due to a sin I committed.”

Qurʾān: Quality over Quantity

‎Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

‎“If the people knew the sweetness, and benefits in pondering over the Qurʾān when reading it, they would have kept themselves busy with nothing else but reading Qurʾān.

‎For reading and pondering over one verse is better than a ḵẖatma (completion of the whole Qurʾān) without contemplation nor understanding.

It's also more beneficial to the heart, attains Īmān and makes one taste the sweetness of the Qurʾān.”

From Abdullaah Ibn Umar (radiallahuanhuma) who said: that the Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] said:

•••══❁✿❁══•••

❝There are three types of people whom Allaah will not look at on the Day of Judgement:

︎"The one who disobeys his parents,
︎A woman who copies men in dress and form.
︎The one who has no concern for his wife.

And three who will not enter Paradise:

︎ The one who is disobedient to his parents,
︎ An Alcoholic and
︎ The one who reminds you of what he has given you"

Want to win Allāh's favour and grace? Then observe the condition of the vulnerable and the needy, and assist them as much as you can.

ومن كان في حاجة أخيه كان الله في حاجته ومن فرَّج عن مسلم كربة، فرَّج الله عنه كربة من كُرب يوم القيامة

"Whoever meets the need of his brother, Allāh will take care of his need. And whoever relieves a Muslim of a hardship, Allāh will relieve him of anguish on the Day of Qiyāmah."

When you wake up tomorrow morning:

* Trust not a single soul. Trust only your Creator.
* Love with all the love you have, for the sake of Allaah & hate no one/nothing except for the sake of Allaah.
* You stay silent until you think thoroughly about what you want to say. Will it please Allaah or will it please Shaytaan?
* Before you respond to a person, give them 3-5 more seconds. Perhaps they have more to say.
* Limit your words. Limit your speech. Imagine it being currency and use it only when necessary.
* In moments of silence, praise Allaah. In moments of happyness, praise Allaah. In moments of anger, praise Allaah.
* If what will exit your mouth is not pleasing Allaah, close it.
* Fear not a single person. Fear only Allaah.
* What you do, do it with care and attention and love.
* Forgive them, for your sanity. Forgive them for the sake of Allaah.
* It’s alright to be frustrated, annoyed, & angry. But how you execute these feelings distinguishes you from the idiots of the world.
* Be sincere. Seek sincerity. Ask for sincerity. Fear showing off, fear the compliments of others, fear popularity and fame.
* Ask Allaah to perfect your character as He has perfected your external.
Ew, stop doing the haram.
* Stop giving people your hasanat by gossiping and backbiting.
* Wear it, do it, say it, be it. If it’s for the sake of Allaah, don’t contemplate otherwise.
* Believe that you are a beautiful person and you deserve the good in this dunyah and the akhira.
* Trust no one. Ever.

Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said:

No one regularly sings or listens to song except that his heart falls into nifaaq (hypocrisy) without him realizing. If such a person understood the reality of nifaaq and its end he would see it in his own heart.

Never do the love of song and the love of Qur’an come together in a person’s heart except that one expels the other.

I and others have witnessed how heavy the Qur’an feels to singers and song-listeners; how they coil when it is recited and how they get angry with a reciter when he recites too long for them (in prayer etc); and how their hearts do not benefit from what he recites: they are not moved to do anything by it.

But when the Qur’an of Shaytaan comes, laa ilaaha illallaah! How they lower their voices and settle down! How their hearts feel at peace and how the crying and emotions start; how moved they are inwardly and outwardly and spend on clothing and perfume and staying up hoping for a long night ahead. If this is not nifaaq then it is certainly the way to it and its foundation.

The more you worry about the Dunya, the less you will have concern for the Hereafter. No wonder our prayers lack in Khushoo’, as even in our prayers we are occupied with worldly affairs.

Maalik Ibn Deenaar said:

❝In proportion to the worry you have for the Dunya (worldly life), that (equal proportion) of concern for the Aakhirah (Hereafter) is removed from your heart; and in proportion to the worry you have for the Hereafter, that (equal proportion) of concern for the Dunya is removed from your heart.❞

*The Great Value of al-Hamdulillaah*

Abu’l-Fidaa’ Ismaa’eel ibn Kathir wrote the following in his tafsir of surah al-Fatihah:
al-Qurtubi said in his tafsir: In the book Nawaadir al-Usool, it is reported that Anas narrated that the Prophet said, *“If the entire dunya were to be in the hands of a man from among my ummah and then he were to say, ‘alhamdulillaah‘, that alhamdulillaah would be better for him than all of that.”*
al-Qurtubi and others commented, *“Meaning: his being inspired to say alhamdulillaah* is a greater blessing for him than the pleasures of *this worldly life because the reward of praising Allah does not perish while the pleasures of this life do not last.”*
Allah said:

*Wealth and children are but adornment of the worldly life. But the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for one’s hope.* (18:46)

"But the majority of the people do it."

Simple response: Which majority?

Shaykh Dr Badr al-Utaybi wrote:

The Prophet ﷺ lived for 23 years after his mission began and never celebrated his birthday.

• Following him, there were 114,000 companions,
• the Taabi'oon,
• their seven jurists,
• the followers of the Taabi'oon,
• the jurists of the four main schools of thought (madhabs),
• the followers of these schools,
• the authors of the six major Hadith collections,
• and many virtuous generations.

None of them celebrated the Prophet's birthday. So, how can celebrating it today be considered a form of worship?

#MawlidunNabi

The reason why the sahabah, the tabi'een, the tabi'i tabi'een, and the 4 imams did not talk about the Mawlid because it came 5 centuries after the Prophet ﷺ by the Fatamids' Rawafidh!

Mawlid has no place in Islam. You won't love the Prophet ﷺ more than his wives & companions.

We live in a time where no matter how 'nicely' you try to remind against & forbid munkar, people will see you as foe

It makes so much more sense now why Allah, with his infinite wisdom, specifically mentioned ''believers'' (when He could've said Muslims) in Surah Dhariyat v. 55 - meaning, only the believing hearts benefit from being reminded 💛

What do you do now? Let them suit themselves. Our role is to enjoin the good & forbid the evil. Indeed there's gentleness, hikmah & speaking with knowledge but the discomfort (rage) of people when you speak the haqq as Allah commanded is not your matter to manage. Leave them to it

📚Is your MAIN concern the Akhira or Dunya?

It was narrated that Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Whoever is mainly concerned about the Hereafter, Allaah will make him feel independent of others and will make him focused and content, and his worldly affairs will fall into place.

But whoever is mainly concerned with this world, Allaah will make him feel in constant need of others and will make him distracted and unfocused, and he will get nothing of this world except what is decreed for him.”

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2389; classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 6510).

Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir:

I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, 'Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.

Ibn al-Jawzi said:

“Something was causing me a great deal of grief and distress, and I started to think long and hard about how to get out of this situation by any means, but I could not find any way out. Then I came across this verse:

“… *And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out [of every difficulty]*.” (Surah Talaq, 65:2)

I realized that Taqwa ( piety, fearing Allah ) is the way out of every kind of grief and distress. As soon as I followed the path of Taqwa, I found the way out."

We live in era in which open sinners are defended and advisors are shunned.

This is not about someone who sins privately. If one sins privately and you happen to see him, then the default is to conceal his sins. That is, if such a person is known to be good.

But if this person is known to be a corrupt habitual sinner, then there are times in which such a person has to be exposed in order to teach him and others like him a lesson.

As for the one who is known to be a sinner on a public level, parading his sins in front of people and especially on social media, and outright admitting them and having the audacity to persist, then such a person does not deserve to have his sins concealed, whatever that means.

So, one who is a habitual sinner publicly, and even one who is known to be corrupt and is caught sinning privately, then it is not appropriate to come along and say that such a person should not be "exposed".

The well-being of the society comes before the well-being of individuals. The general masses have to be warned from such corrupt people who have no shame.

If Allāh conceals your sin, and you insist on making it public, then do not expect to be safe, whether in this life or the next.

Narrated Abū Hurayrah: I heard Allah's Messenger ﷺ saying. "All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujāhirīn (those who commit a sin openly or disclose their sins to the people). An example of such disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and though Allāh screens it from the public, then he comes in the morning, and says, 'O so-and-so, I did such-and-such (evil) deed yesterday,' though he spent his night screened by his Lord (none knowing about his sin) and in the morning he removes Allāh's screen from himself." [Bukhārī - 6069]

And yes, we WILL judge public sinners and call them out for their sins. And it is Allāh who will deal with them in the Hereafter.

Narrated ‘Umar Ibn al-Khaṭṭāb: People were (sometimes) judged by the revealing of a Divine Inspiration during the lifetime of Allāh's Apostle but now there is no longer any more (new revelation). Now we judge you by the deeds you practice publicly, so we will trust and favor the one who does good deeds in front of us, and we will not call him to account about what he is really doing in secret, for Allāh will judge him for that; but we will not trust or believe the one who presents to us with an evil deed even if he claims that his intentions were good. [Bukhārī - 2641]
