#Khushoo
🔴 If we have not benefited from our previous Ramadhaan - from our Siyaam and our Qiyaam - then know that it was due of the lack of sincerity and Khushoo
He صلى الله عليه وسلم also said:

“The first thing to be raised from the people is Khushoo
Abu Dardaa’ رضي الله عنه said to one of the companions:
إِنْ شئتَ لأُحَدِّثَنَّكَ بأوِّلِ علْمٍ يُرْفَعُ منَ الناسِ الخشوعُ يوشِكُ أنْ تدخُلَ مسجِدَ جماعَةٍ فلا تَرَى فيه رجلًا خاشِعًا

THE IMPORTANCE OF IKHLAS
The Prophet(ﷺ) said “Whoever shows off, Allaah will expose him.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6134; Muslim; 2986).
Ibn Hajar said: al-Khattaabi said, this means: whoever does something that is not sincerely for the sake of Allaah, merely wanting people to see him and hear him, will be punished for that Allaah will expose him and make known what he is concealing.
It was said that whoever does something with the intention of gaining status and prestige among people, and does not seek the Face of Allaah by doing it, Allaah will make him the subject of bad speech among the people in whose eyes he wanted to gain status, and he will have no reward for it in the Hereafter. (Fath al-Baari, 11/336)

Prophet ﷺ said: "He (man who slept through Fajr) is a man in whose ears Shaytaan has urinated."
● {صحيح البخاري ٥٩/٨٠}
The urine in the ear is not literal though, it is metaphorical, here is the commentary by Ibn Hajr:
هو مثل مضروب للغافل عن القيام بثقل النوم كمن وقع البول في أذنه فثقل أذنه وأفسد حسه والعرب تكني عن الفساد بالبول
“It is an example used for the one who is negligent of prayers due to heavy sleep as if he has got his ear filled with urine till it became weighed down and his senses got corrupted. Arabs have used urination as a metaphor for corruption.”

Ibn Taymiyyah’s Attitude Upon Entering Prison
It was related that when Ibn Taymiyyah was being transported by the ruler’s representative to prison in Alexandria, a bystander saw him and said: “My master, this is the time for patience.”
So, Ibn Taymiyyah looked at him and replied: “Rather, this is the time to be thankful. By Allah, such joy and happiness are descending upon my heart at this moment that if it was divided between the people of Sham and Egypt, there would be some left over, and if I had that amount in gold and distributed it, it would not equal even a tenth of the blessing that I am experiencing.”
Later on, on Monday the 6th of the month of Sha’ban 726 AH, he was again arrested on orders from the ruler, and was ordered transferred to the Citadel Prison in Damascus. When he first learned of this, he said: “I was waiting for this, and this contains great benefit.” When he was later in the prison, he said: “If this prison was exchanged for its weight in gold, I would not consider this to be enough to repay this blessing I am in and the good that it has brought me.”
When he entered the grounds of the Citadel Prison in Damascus, he stood and looked at its walls, reciting the verse: “…So a wall will be put up between them with a gate therein. Inside it will be mercy, and from the outside, it will be torment.” [al-Hadid; 13]
[Ibn ‘Abd al-Hadi’s ‘al-‘Uqud ad-Durriyyah’; p. 177-178, 365,p. 44 Ibn al-Qayyim’s ‘al-Wabil as-Sayyib’]

THE FLUCTUATIONS OF TIME ARE TESTS FROM ALLĀH
Glory is to Allāh Who subjects His slaves (to trials) in order to test their patience and expose their true nature in times of hardship!
Angels prostrated to Adam ('alayhi as-salām), while shortly thereafter he was expelled from Paradise (jannah).
Nūh ('alayhi as-salām) was beaten until fainted, while shortly thereafter he was rescued in the ark, and his enemies were destroyed.
Ibrāhīm ('alayhi as-salām) was thrown in the fire, and then came out to safety (salāma).
Isma'eel ('alayhi as-salām) lied down in surrender to be slaughtered, then he came to safety, and his praise remained.
Ya'qūb ('alayhi as-salām) lost his eyesight after losing his son, and then he regained it after reuniting with his son.
Mūsā ('alayhi as-salām) was a shepherd, and then was elevated to a rank where he spoke to Allāh (taqlīm).
Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was an orphan and faced many hardships from his enemies, and from financial difficulties; yet he persevered and was firm as a mountain. After his objective was fulfilled and when he conquered Makkah, the Angel of death came to him and took his soul while going through the pangs of death.
Whoever observes the sea of life, knows how its waves should be received and know how to be patient while dealing the changing days, will not panic when calamity (bilā') strikes. And will not become overly happy when good times (rikhā') arrive immediately.

REWARD OF 50 COMPANIONS OF THE PROPHET ( SALLALLAAHU ALAIHIWASALLAM) FOR YOU !!!
Holding on to burning coal has to have it's due and deserving reward. Many Muslims living in war torn and other countries where they are exposed to many trials and tribulations by way social, physical, economic, psychological and other forms of struggles and tests, yet holding firm on to Islsm under the dire circumstances have great rewards from Allah.
Do you think you're ever able to get these rewards without the corresponding tests ? Allah is just He wouldn't expose His slave to hardship and not recompense handsomely ?
The Prophet ( Sallallaahu Alaihiwasallam) said ahead of you lie days of patience, during which being patient will be like grasping to hot coal.
The one who does good deeds then will have a reward like that of fifty men who do such deeds. And someone added : They said : Oh Messenger of Allah ( Sallallaahu Alaihiwasallam) the reward of fifty of them ? He said the reward of fifty of you.
Narrated by Abu Dawood ( Book 37 Hadeeth 4327 ) and he said it is a Hassen Hadeeth. It was classed as Saheeh by Al Albani in Al-Silsilah Al Saheehah (494)
Remaining patient and yet resolving to remain firm upon the Deen is a tremendous act of worship against all odds. Just the way gold is purified my many rounds of heating the true mumin will be subjected to a similar process so that his status is enhanced and improved.
All victorious comes from Allah.

'Asim ibn Abi al-Najood - also known as 'Asim ibn Bahdalah - was one of the seven famous reciters of the Qur'an and one of his ways of reciting - Hafs 'an 'Asim - is the most widespread qira'ah of the Qur'an in the world today. In his biographical entry on 'Asim, Imam al-Dhahabi mentioned the following report:
[قال عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل : سألت أبي عن عاصم بن بهدلة ، فقال : رجل صالح خير ثقة ، قلت : أي القراءات أحب إليك ؟ قال : قراءة أهل المدينة ، فإن لم يكن ، فقراءة عاصم .]
Abdullah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal said: I asked my father about 'Asim ibn Bahdalah and he said, "He was a righteous man, good and reliable."
I said, "Which of the qira'at do you like the most?"
He replied, "The qira'ah of the people of Madinah. And if that were not an option, then the qira'ah of 'Asim."
[Siyar A'lam al-Nubala' 5/257]

If we keep watering Islam down, what’s going to be left for the coming generations? If salah is a choice, if hijab is a choice, if fasting is a choice, if riba is ok due to convenience, if all religions are acceptable and all lead to the same destination, if congratulating everyone on their festivals which are based on false beliefs, if accepting lifestyle choices that contradict Allah’s laws etc…, then what is the point of Islam? How will we stand out and be different from others?
