''THE DISTANCE BETWEEN EARTH AND HEAVEN IS 500 YEARS...''!
It is narrated from Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib رضي الله عنه that Allaah's Messenger ﷺ said:
"Do you know how much the distance between earth and heaven is?" We said, "Allaah and His Messenger know better." Then he (ﷺ) said, "The distance between them is 500 years, and the distance between one heaven to the next is 500 years, and the dimension of each heaven will take 500 years to travel, and there is a sea between the seventh heaven and the Throne which has between its lowest and highest ends the distance like that between the heavens and the earth (i.e. 500 years). And Allaah the Most Exalted is above that and nothing is secret from Him of the deeds of Bani Adam (humankind)." [Reported by Abu Dawud and others.]

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) prohibited to preserve the meat of sacrifices. But when Allah provided abundance, the Messenger (PBUH) withdrew his prohibition.
Narrated 'Aishah:
Some people of desert came at the time of sacrifice in the time of Apostle of Allah (ﷺ). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Store up for three days and give the rest as sadaqah (alms). After than the people said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): Messenger of Allah, the people used to benefit from their sacrifices, take and dissolve fat from them, and make water-bags (from their skins). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: What is that ? or whatever he said: They said: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), you have prohibited to preserve the meat of sacrifice after three days. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: I prohibited you due to a body of people who came to you. Now eat, give it as sadaqah (alms), and store up.[ Abu Dawood 2812]

#THE #SECRET of delayed response to
Supplications‼️
I have been contemplating an awe-inspiring situation; when a believer suffers a calamity or a hardship he starts supplicating and
praying devoutly to Allah but still none of his prayers are answered.Yet as soon as he is about to fall into despair, Allah looks into his
heart so that if He finds him content with what Allah decreed for him and still aspiring to receive the grace of Allah, Allah often hastens
answering his prayers because faith (man ) is rectified at that point and Shaytan is defeated, and the grades of people are made manifest.
This meaning is entailed in the verse,
“until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, ‘When is the help of Allah?’”
(Surah Baqarah 2:214)
The case of Prophet Ya'qub (alayhi-as-salam) manifests his endless hope in Allah to bring back his lost child (Yusuf) and when another child of his was taken away from him, he did not despair but maintained his hope in Allah and said,
Similar was the hope of Prophet Zakariyyah ('alayhi as-salam) who
said, (Surah Maryam 19:4)
Beware of falling into despair lest answers to prayers take a long time because Allah is the Sovereign Possessor (al-Malik), the Most
Wise (al-Hakim) and Best Planner and the One Who knows the best for your affairs. You need to heed to the fact He wants to test the
real person you are, to see your devoted supplications to Him and to reward you for your patience (sabr).
Know that He tests you with delaying the answer of your supplications to combat the whispers of Iblis. Each one of these
reasons is enough to increase the level of your hope in Allah’s grace and calls for thankfulness of Allah because He preferred you
with trials in order to turn to Him— for it is nothing but affluence when a person becomes in need, and then turns to Allah for His help.

ENVY & GREED.
Iblis said to Nooh : ‘There are five things that cause people to become destroyed’
‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar (radhi Allaahu anhuma) said: While on the Ark, [Prophet] Nooh (‘alayhis-salam) noticed an old man whom he did not recognise. Nooh inquired: ‘What brought you here?’ He replied: ‘I came to strike the hearts of your followers, so their hearts become with me, while their bodies with you.’ Nooh responded: ‘Leave O enemy of Allah.’
Iblis said: ‘There are five things that cause people to become destroyed (deviated). I will inform you of three and not of the other two’. It was revealed to Nooh that he needed not know the three, but that he should enquire about the two.”
Iblis said: ‘The two that are certain to work are: envy: I was cursed because of my envy, and became a stoned devil. And the second is eagerness (to have more) : The entire paradise was made permissible to Adam (‘alayhis-
salam) . I got what I wanted from him because of his eagerness.’ [Ibn Abee al-Dunya in Maka’d al-Shaytaan , 65/ 44].

Me, Myself and I
Ibn Qayyim rahimahullah said:
‘Every Muslim should be warned of the oppression of ‘I – My, Mine – I Possess’, Indeed these three words are what Iblees (Shaytaan/Satan), Fir’awn (Pharoah) and Qaroon were tried with.
Ibless said: ‘I am better than him’
Fir’awn said: ‘Is not mine the Kingdom of Egypt?’
Qaroon said: ‘This has been given to me only because of knowledge I possess”
So regarding the saying of the Slave of Allaah ‘ I’ – then the best that he can be described with is:
I am a slave who sins, makes mistakes, seeks forgiveness and recognizes this.
So regarding the saying of ‘Mine’ – and those statements similar to that is:
My sins, my crimes, my humbleness, my deprivation and submissiveness.
So regarding the saying ‘I Possess’ – Forgive me for my mistakes and what I do intentionally , in jest, or in seriousness and I possess all these shortcomings.

Why is Surah Yousuf named as the best of stories? Because it teaches us that the prisoners will be released, the sick will be healed, the absent will return, the sad will rejoice, the distress will disappear and that every test of the believer is good. So know that with Allah you will never be disappointed. Trust Allah.

"And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy"
[Faatir 35:11].
Ibn ‘Abbaas said, commenting on this verse:
[What it means is:] there is no one for whom I have decreed a long life but he will reach the age that has been decreed for him. That is what I have decreed, so his life will reach the length that I have written for him in the book, and no more than that. There is no one for whom I have decreed that he should live a short life who will live a longer life; rather he will reach the point that I have written for him in the book. That is referred to in the verse: “nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register”. That is, it is in His book which is with Him. End quote.

Hadith on Mercy: None enters Paradise but by Allah’s mercy
(None of you will enter Paradise by his deeds alone.)
Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Follow the right course, seek nearness to Allah, and give glad tidings. Verily, none of you will enter Paradise by his deeds alone.”
They said, “Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet said, “Not even me, unless Allah grants me his mercy. Know that the most beloved deed to Allah is that which is done regularly, even if it is small.”

'𝗗𝗶𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁𝘆.'
Meaning: be prepared, don't leave things to last-minute. When you get thirsty, you will suffer even more while digging the well.
Use the free time you have and do things in advance.
It is better to be overprepared, than underprepared.

May Allah grant all of us "long hands" Aameen.
Narrated
Aa'isha binth Siddeeq (radiAllahuanha):
Some of the wives of the Prophet of Allah (sallallaahu alayhiwa sallam) asked him, "Who amongst us will be the first to follow you (i.e. die after you)?" He said, "Whoever has the longest hand" So they started measuring their hands with a stick, Sauda's hand turned out to be the longest. (When Zaynab bint Jahsh died first during the caliphate of Umar), we came to know that the long hand was a symbol for practicing charity, so she was the first to follow the Prophet of Allah (sallallaahu alayhiwa sallam). She used to love to practice charity. (Sauda died later in the caliphate of Muawiya). (Sahih al-Bukhari 1420, Book 24, Hadith 24)

Ibn Kathir mentions that when Mongols invaded Baghdad, the rulers were distracted by lavish entertainments.
He reports that a girl was dancing in front of the Khalifah and entertaining him, while an enemy arrow came through the window and hit her in the chest!
She died and the Khalifah was saddened, when he took out the arrow, he noticed that it was written on it:
إذا أراد الله إنفاذ قضائه وقدره أذهب من ذوي العقول عقولهم
'𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲

𝗛𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗲.'
[‘Al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah’, 7/202].
The same thing is happening now, the Muslim lands are under siege, while the rulers are busy hosting dance parties where half-naked women shake their backsides in the sacred lands.
Does this make any sense?
The problem lies mainly with the rulers, it is mainly their responsibility to act and help the oppressed.
Those people who shift the blame to the general public, are simply victim blaming:
Let’s face it, a commoner abstaining from eating a burger or him boycotting some underwear brand, (may be rewarded for his intentions), but he will not even make a dent in their economy!
Our leaders have failed and betrayed us, and it’s important to raise awareness. The people should hold their leaders accountable for their failures.
The leader is the guardian and responsible for his flock , according to the Prophet
So, when the wolves eat the sheep - do we blame the wolf, the sheep or the shepherd?
We blame the shepherd for his negligence of course!
It is foolish to blame the sheep and excuse the shepherd.

The Significance of The Rainbow and The Milky Way:
Bismillah wal hamdullillah was Salaatu Was Salaamu ‘Alaa Rasoolillahi
Ammaa Ba’d:
Upon the authority of Abut Tufail who said: Ibnul Kawwaa asked Ali – Radhiyallahu ‘Anhu – about the Milky Way so he replied:
“It is the ‘Sharaj’ (broad opening to the heavens) and from it Allah sent water down in abundance (i.e during the flood of Nooh)
(Collected by Imaamul Bukhaari in his Adabul Mufrad 766/589)
Shaikh Al Albaani declared its isnaad ‘Saheeh’ then commented:
“The ‘Sharaj’ of a valley is its expansive wider opening (i.e. its mouth, its broad beginning)”
Upon the authority of Ibn Abbaas – Radhiyallahu ‘Anhumaa – who said: “The rainbow is a safeguard for the inhabitants of the earth that they will not be drowned (as a form of destruction as in the time of Nooh) and the Milky Way is the door of the heavens and the splitting of the heavens will begin from it (i.e on the day of Judgement)”
(Collected by Imaamul Bukhaari in his Adabul Mufrad 767/590)
Shaikh Albaani declared its isnaad ‘Saheeh’
These narrations then establish the wisdom behind these two great aspects of the creation of Allah that people have marveled over for centuries.
Compare this to that which occurs in the bible discussing a similar affair and look how it is used to attribute deficiency to our lord the most High.
Genesis 9 Vs 12-17:
And God said (to Noah), “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” 17 So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”
Look how the passage attributes forgetfulness to Allah the Mighty and Majestic. To the extent that he needs the rainbow to remind him of the covenant he took with the creation! If anything it is a reminder to the creation and a sign to them of his mercy.
Would it not also follow that he would need some reminding to bring forth this reminder!
May Allah be far exalted above what they attribute to him!

Alhamdulillah. Imam Ibn Kathīr (rA) said in Al-Bidāyah wa-n-Nihāyah (The Beginning and the End):
Sheikh ʿAfīf al-Dīn Yūsuf ibn al-Baqqāl, the Sheikh of Ribāṭ Marzubāniyyah, was righteous, scrupulous, and ascetic.
الشيخ عفيف الدين يوسف بن البقال شيخ رباط المرزبانية، كان صالحا ورعا زاهدا.
He related an incident about himself, saying: "I was in Egypt when I heard about the grievous massacre that occurred in Baghdad during the Mongol turmoil. I was inwardly distraught and said: 'Oh Lord, how could this be when among them are children and those who are innocent?'
حكى عن نفسه قال: كنت بمصر فبلغني ما وقع من القتل الذريع ببغداد في فتنة التتار، فأنكرت في قلبي وقلت: يا رب كيف هذا وفيهم الأطفال ومن لا ذنب له؟
Then I saw in a dream a man holding scrolls. I took them and read, and found in it these verses rebuking me:
فرأيت في المنام رجلا وفي يده كتاب فأخذته فقرأته فإذا فيه هذه الأبيات فيها الإنكار عليّ:
Hold your objection; the command is not for your part,
Nor do the stars in their orbits follow your heart.
دع الاعتراض فما الأمر لك ** ولا الحكم في حركات الفلك
Question not the Divine or His injunction,
For those who dare the deep seas meet their destruction.
ولا تسأل الله عن فعله ** فمن خاض لجة بحر هلك
All His servant's fates are in His hand,
Cease your objection; how little you understand.
إليه تصير أمور العباد ** دع الاعتراض فما أجهلك
وصلى الله على محمد والخمد لله ب العالمين

Perhaps through oppression you may gain whatever you want!
But the prayer of a single oppressed person will make you lose everything you had!

Show-off on social media:
In this age of materialism and social media, people tend to share the good things they have, i.e., beauty, house, job, children, food, clothes, cars, etc.
This is natural, and this is often done with good intentions, but it has some unintended negative consequences:
Some people will feel bad, wishing they could have the same, others may get jealous and the evil eye could hit.
For these reasons, even if these things are not shared with the intention of show-off, we should try to minimize this as much as possible, remain low-key, to avoid putting other people in fitnah, and to safeguard our blessings.
There is also a concept called 'كفر نعمة', [ungratefulness for the blessings of God], and this usually happens, when we see someone that has more worldly blessings than us.
According to some scholars, this was the reason why the queen ant told her colony to enter their dwellings when Sulayman and his army were marching.
Imam Fakhr al-Razi writes:
'𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 (𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻) 𝗮𝗻𝘁, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗮𝗻'𝘀 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 (𝗺𝗲𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲) 𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺.

['Tafsir al-Razi', 24/187].
Imam al-Qurtubi also mentioned this as one possible interpretation:
لم ترِد ( حطم النفوس)، وإنما أرادت ( حطم القلوب)
'𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻: [𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀], 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁: [𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀].'
['Tafsir al-Qurtubi', 13/171].
If sometimes we do see the blessings God has bestowed upon others, and these ill feelings do arise within ourselves, we should remember that God said:
نحن قسمنا بینهم معیشتهم فی الحیاة الدّنیا!
'𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗘, 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱.' [Qur'an 43:32].
It is the Will and Decree of God, He tests some with poverty, and others with wealth.
