Money is one of the main causes of fitna. It brings wretched people into your life. The real one won't be a gold digger. I understand some people want to have a nice lifestyle, but at what cost? I would rather be rich in my belief than in a materialistic life. It does catch the eye and heart but doesn't feed the soul.
Nothing can be taken to the grave. Except the good you did.

You're the only one in charge of your life, not your boss, partner, parents, friends, clients, the economy, or the weather. When you stop blaming others and take responsibility, everything in your life can change. You get to decide how to act in any situation, shaping your own circumstances. Your attitude towards what happens is key, and choosing a positive one is up to you.

Blaming others means waiting for them to change, which won't happen. Being in charge means you can change things you don't like. Control your thoughts, actions, and who you hang out with. If you want different outcomes, change what you're doing or thinking. Choose how you respond to things, rather than just reacting.

When you take control, you can't blame anyone else. If you blame things like traffic for being late, you're giving up control. Instead, take charge and leave earlier. Even if you can't control everything, you can always choose how you react.

Victims blame others and wait for the future to fix everything. Protagonists take responsibility, learn from the past, live in the present, and work towards their future. It's about choosing who you want to be through your actions.

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:

“If a good opinion advocates work and action then it is correct, however if it recommends idleness and indulgence in sins, then it is deception.

Good opinion is a wish, so whoever's wish is guiding him to obey Allāh, and preventing him from committing sins, then it is a sound wish; but whoever's wish is to stay idle, then he is definitely deceived.

It is like someone who has good opinion of Allāh, with a strong wish to achieve the highest level in Paradise, in an eternal Grace, without obeying the Commands of Allāh!.”

A Worldly Matter Vs A Matter Of The Hereafter

Abu Bakr Bin Al-Arabi said that Tartooshi said to him:

«إِذَا عَرَضَ لَكَ أمرُ دُنْيَا وَأَمرُ آخِرَة، فَبَادِرْ بِأَمرِ الآخِرَة، يَحْصُلْ لَكَ أَمرُ الدُّنْيَا وَالأُخْرَى.»

❝If a worldly matter and a matter of the Hereafter is presented to you, then hasten with the matter of the Hereafter. Like this you will acquire both the worldly matter and of the Hereafter.❞

Ruling of women visiting the graves

Scholars have differed over the ruling of women visiting the graves according to three views:

The first: It is makruh for them to visit the graves. This is the chosen position of the Shafiis1, Hanbalis2, a position among the Hanafis, and a position among the Malikis.

The second: It is haram for them to do so. This is a position among Hanafis, a position among Shafi
is, and it is the position of Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Baz, and Ibn Uthaymin. Ibn Taymiyyah said: “The jurists said: if the woman knows that by her visiting the graveyard, she will either do or say that which is inappropriate, then it is haram for her to visit without disagreement.” Majmu al-Fatawa (356/24)

The third: It is that it is permissible for women to visit the graves. This is the chosen position of the Hanafis3, a position among Malikis, a position among Shafi`is, and a narration from Ahmad. It is also the choice of al-Qurtubi from the Malikis,[ He conditioned permissibility with women going separately from the men and avoiding temptation] as well Ash-Shawkani4 [With the condition of avoiding temptation, and not neglecting the right of the husband, while leaving off beautification and screaming, and the like. ]

Abu Hurayrah, Hassan Bin Thabit, and ‘Abdullah Bin ‘Abbas reported that Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said:

Allah (or Allah’s Messenger) curses the women who frequent the graves.''

Al-QurtubI commented on this:
“This curse is in regard to the women who visit the graves frequently.”

Furthermore, the Prophet (PBUH) has allowed the women to visit the graves during his lifetime. Abdullah Bin Abl Mulaykah reported that he once saw A’ishah ( R ) coming from the direction of the graveyard (in Makkah). He asked her, “O Mother of the Believers! Whence are you coming?” She replied, “From the grave of ‘Abdur-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr.” He asked, “Had not Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) prohibited visiting the graves?” She replied, “Yes, but he later permitted visiting them.”[ Recorded by al-Hakim, al-Bayhaql, and others. Verified to be authentic by al-Albani (Ahkam ul-Janaiz p. 230).]

The commentator of Bulugh Al Maram, Imam As-Sanani said:

''The applicable ruling is that in case there is a possibility of their wailing, lamenting, and bemoaning he dead, then it should be not allowed. In case such a possibility does not exist, they may be allowed to go.''5

The third opinion, that, it is permissible for women to visit graves is the correct position in this matter, in Sha’ Allāh.

A Time of Few Scholars & Many Preachers

Abū Dharr reported that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Verily, you are in a time of many scholars and few preachers. Whoever leaves a tenth of what he knows will be ruined. There will come a time for people in which there are few scholars and many preachers. Whoever adheres to a tenth of what he knows will be saved."

Source: Musnad Aḥmad 20864 - Grade: Ṣaḥīḥ according to al-Albānī.

A similar narration in Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 789 was said by ‘Abd Allāh Ibn Mas‘ūd and graded as Ḥasan by al-Albānī.

There is another narration in Jāmi‘ at-Tirmidhī 2267, graded as Ṣaḥīḥ by al-Albānī which was narrated by Abū Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "You are in a time when whoever abandons a tenth of what he has been ordered, then he is ruined. Then, there will come a time in which whoever does a tenth of what he has been ordered shall be saved."

Lessons:

1. We are in time when scholars have become scarce, but preachers have come in abundance. Preaching is not a bad thing unless it is done by those who are ignorant. Da'wah should be done based on each person's level of knowledge. This should be an encouragement for us to strive to learn more.

2. The first Muslims were the best of generations. Leaving off even one-tenth of what they were ordered to do in terms of enjoining what is good and prohibiting what is evil was not acceptable for them. This doesn't mean that they were allowed to abandon one-tenth of the obligations because leaving off the obligations is punishable. This is in reference to what they were ordered to do of good and to leave off what they were prohibited of evil.

3. Our generation did not witness the miracles and the revelation. So we are not held to account to what is beyond our capacity and capability. In this generation, sinning and oppression has increased a great deal, so many times we are not able to invite to what is good and forbid what is evil due to obstacles that are not within our control, not because are we are purposely falling short. People in this category, that is, those who do one-tenth of what they are ordered will be saved on the Day of Standing.

Dua to remove Debts and to be free from want

‘𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻, 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀.’

There are people who try to impress external people and extended families at the expense of their own direct family.

They appear nice and sweet with outsiders and strangers, but when they turn their faces to their own wives and children, their smiles fade and they are sour.

A man’s main responsibility is to make his wife and children happy, and then extended family and external people. Don’t neglect your direct family, they are the most deserving of your time and attention.

This is why the Prophet said the best of us are those who are the best to our families.

Closing the Gate of Worry and Anxiety

al-Allāmah Muhammad bin Sālih al-'Uthaymin (rahimahullāh) said:

“A person should not open the gate of worry and anxiety, as this will disturb and upset his life. And perhaps it will corrupt his religion. Thus, the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) addressed the one who seeks the means of subsistence and is negatively impacted by saying, ‘Do not say ‘if [I had done or not done that, such and such would not have happened],’ as ‘if’ opens the gate for Shaytān.’’’

Since Ramadan is around the corner I thought of sharing some tips I have found beneficial to make the best out of Ramadan. These are not fatawas but rather just suggestions from a fellow Muslim brother.

1. More than physical fitness focus on correcting your intentions and purifying your heart through repentance even before Ramadan starts.

2. Scroll through your phone and classify all the apps in two categories. Ones that are pleasing to Allah and ones that are displeasing to Allah. Be honest to yourself in this process and delete all apps that you know will engage you in haram as well as those apps where you are sure of wasting Time without accomplishing anything.

3. Unfollow/unfriend/block every person whose timeline is a distraction from the remembrance of Allah. Don't think twice about what they will think. Remember that on the day of judgment you will be called to account alone.

4. Make a list of sins that you are struggling to give up and work on leaving those sins even before Ramadan approaches. The harder it is to give up the greater the reward when u give it up.

5. Make a list of things that you wished to accomplish but never managed in matters of Deen. This Ramadan is your ideal opportunity to accomplish them so prepare yourself with a plan and lots of dua.

6. Take a short nap during the day to keep the energy level high throughout the night.

7. Memorise the authentic duas from the book "Hisnul Muslim". Duas ranging from what to read when you wake up, remembrance of morning & evening, dua before entering market, dua for breaking fast, dua before sleeping and many more. Dua is one of the best forms of worship you can engage yourself in.

8. Let the Tafseer of the Quran as well as the actual Mushaf be in easy access ie keep one at home, one in car, one in office and one in your phone.

9. Get all your eid shopping completed before Ramadan starts.

10. Don't go hunting for beautiful recitations for taraweeh. Try to stick to the Masjid that has a reasonable length, nice recitation and easy access so that u complete the entire Quran behind that Imam.

11. If you plan to sit for itekaaf get everything ready from now and this included sleeping bags, leave from company, arrangements for family to manage in your absence etc.

12. Read about the Fiqh of fasting in the coming days so that you don't end up with unanswered doubts in the month of Ramadan.

13. Every good deed you do or every sin you give up in Ramadan have the intention of sticking to the same after Ramadan.

May Allah accept our deeds, forgive our sins and grant us the ability to worship him the way he deserves to be worshipped.

The Levels (darajat) of Hell

Allah said:

لَهَا سَبْعَةُ اَبْوَابٍؕ-لِكُلِّ بَابٍ مِّنْهُمْ جُزْءٌ مَّقْسُوْمٌ

“It has seven gates; for every gate is of them [i.e., Satan’s followers] a portion designated.»[ Translation 15:44]

According to a narration of Ali ؓ reported by Imam Ahmad, Ibn Jarir Al-Tabari and Al-Baihaqi, the seven gates of Jahannam (Hell) are in terms of seven levels, one upon the other.

'Ikrimah said: 'It has seven levels and when commenting on the
same verse.’

Some of the scholars divided people into various categories on the basis of these levels. But it is not correct to divide people in Hell into categories on this basis, even though the division of people into categories on the basis of their actions is something that is proven from the texts – just as it is not correct to name the various levels of Hell in the manner in which they mentioned.

Dr. Umar Sulaiman al-Ashqar stated:

''There is no proof for this division of the inhabitants of Hell or the names that have been attributed to the various levels. The truth is that all of these names - Jahanam, Ladhaa, al-Hutamah, etc - are alternative names by which Hell in its entirety is known, and they are not applied to one part or another of it. It is also known that people will be placed in different levels of Hell according to the extent of their kufr and sins.''[al-Jannah wa an-Naar, page 8]

❝ 𝗟𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝘄𝗹𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝘄𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 ❞

What is the meaning of this great sentence? This great treasure from Paradise. Let's see how a scholar explains this and how a warrior explains this.

Saddam Hussain رحمة الله عليه explains the meaning truly in a warrior style :

He says (video in comments section) :

"With Allah is the Hawl (change) and with Allah is the Quwwah (power).. ie our power comes only from Allah subhanahu wa ta'aala... Actually we aren't weak... Our weakness is nothing but the weakness perceived about us from the eyes of our ememies "

Shaykh Tuwayjiri (rahimahullah) in his
book فتح المعبود في الرد على ابن محمود quotes
Imam ibn Hajar (rahim Allah ta'ala) in fath al baari summarizing some of the statements of the companions about the meaning as :

وقال الحافظ ابن حجر في فتح الباري: معنى لا حول ولا تحويل للعبد عن معصية الله إلا بعصمة الله ولا قوة له على طاعة الله إلا بتوفيق الله

"That there is no turning away from sinning against Allah, except with the redemption of Allah. And there is no strength to worship Allah, except by being given the ability to do so by Allah."

To sum up :

So it's Allah who changes states. Allah changes a person from sin to repentance. Allah takes a person from sickness to health. Allah takes a person from weakness to strength. Power isn't really by resources, its the perception of your enemy. Seek help from Allah to overcome all your weaknesses.

May Allah unite our scholars & rulers into what pleases him.
