“Protect yourselves against doing injustice, for injustice will be darkness (levels of darkness) on the Day of Resurrection.” [Muslim]

Injustice (wronging) appears in many forms. It could be caging a cat and not feeding it or allowing it to catch its own food until it dies. It could be cheating relatives of their inheritance. It could be ill treatment of a spouse and not fulfilling their rights. It could be treating children unfairly. It could be judging between people unfairly. It could be betraying the trust placed in one's hands (in an organization, at work, at school etc).
The end result of dhulm is indeed very serious. We need to look at our responsibilities and how we fulfill them and we need to look at how we deal with others. In the end, all our eloquence and gift of the gab will be of no avail when we stand before Allah.

When your heart is pure, and you do good to others and in return they hurt and take you for granted, know one thing:

They are the ones to lose a blessing. You're the blessing.

They may not realize it right now, and it may not hit them right away, but in time, they'll look back and see were they went wrong. They may not admit it, but they will certainly regret it.

Abu Huraira reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Richness does not lie in the abundance of (worldly) goods but richness is the richness of the soul (selfcontentment).”

[Sahih al-Bukhari 6446 and Sahih Muslim 1041]

Abdullah ibn Amr reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَرُزِقَ كَفَافًا وَقَنَّعَهُ اللَّهُ بِمَا آتَاهُ

“He has succeeded who embraces Islam, whose provision is sufficient, and whom Allah has made content with what he has given him.”

[Sahih Muslim 1054]

Narrated Hakim bin Hizam:

“This wealth is (like) green and sweet (fruit), and whoever takes it without greed, Allah will bless it for him, but whoever takes it with greed, Allah will not bless it for him, and he will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied. And the upper (giving) hand is better than the lower (taking) hand.”

[Sahih al-Bukhari 6441]

Mu'awiya reported:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Do not be persistent in begging. By Allah, if one of you asks me for something and I bring out what he asked for and give it to him unwillingly, there is no blessing in it.”

[Sahih Muslim 1038]

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله,

“(The pain) of what has passed can not be removed by grieving over it, but only through:

• Acceptance (i.e. being pleased with Allaah's Decree) (al-Ridhaa)

• Gratitude (al-Hamd)

• Patience (al-Sabr)

• Faith in Predestination (al-Imaan bil-Qadr)

and the saying of the slave:

“It is the decree of Allāh and what He Wills, He Does” (قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ)."

The Dunya has Children & The Hereafter has Children

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتو

*RAMADHAN 1445*

*Will it be Saudi Arabia's Ummul Qura Calendar, or will it be the Shariah of sighting the moon?*

Scientific data clearly shows that it will not be possible to sight the moon for Ramadhan 1445 on Sunday, 10th March 2024.

Below are visibility maps for Sunday from two of the best-known sights of Islamic astronomy. One is moon sighting. com and the other is the Islamic Astronomy Centre. We should understand that the scientific data to determine sighting projections are not based on opinions or estimates or guess work. They are based on established scientific data, and that is why we find that all astronomers give exactly the same projections.

The below maps affirm that there will be no moon that will be visible on Sunday, nowhere in the whole of Africa, Middle East, Europe, Asia and Australia. *Even telescope assisted sighting is not possible on Sunday.*

According to Saudi Arabia's Ummul Qura calendar, Sunday will be 29th of Shaaban, and Monday is 1st Ramadhan. The Ummul Qura calendar is not based on moon sighting projections, it is instead based on the conjunction time of the new moon in relation to sunset time.

_*The moon will not be sighted in Saudi Arabia on Sunday*_ but their Ummul Qura calendar shows 1st Ramadhan is on Monday.

The Saudi authorities have had a history of announcing the sighting of the moon, which was impossible to sight, therefore, there is a possibility the Saudis will announce having sighted the moon on Sunday. It is a possibility, it may happen or it may not happen this time, but it has happened before.

There are sections of the Ummah around the world that accept the rule of following global sighting. There are jurists, _although a minority_, who have issued rulings on the acceptance of global sighting. *But there is no single ruling on global acceptance of Saudi Arabia's Ummul Qura Calendar.*

Unfortunately, *if* Saudi authorities do announce start of Ramadhan on Monday, and people outside of Saudi Arabia do follow the Saudi declaration, then they will be adhering to a method which is unique to Saudi Arabia and not to the guidance of the Holy Prophet S.A.W.W.

Should the Ummah blindly follow the Saudi rulings when there are clear Prophetic rulings on this matter?

If the holiest sites of Islam are in Saudi Arabia, does it mean all decisions of the rulers are correct? This is not rocket science. Even the Saudi scholars themselves have repeatedly said the rest of the world should follow their own local sightings. Even if one is to accept the ruling on global sighting, it should at least be in agreement with scientific data, but if a sighting is announced which is clearly not possible, then the global sighting rule becomes invalid, it is, instead, global mayhem leading to disunity within local communities in the guise of global unity.

Feeding people in Ramadan is very good. But feeding your wife, Mum, Dad, sisters and brothers snd other relatives, especially those you shoulder their responsibilities, is more rewarding and in fact, an obligation.
Priotise your relatives first in your charity. Whatever is left can go out.

MOST CHALLENGING FAST

▪️On the Authority of Abu Huraira
that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Perhaps a fasting person will only gain from his fasting hunger and thirst, and perhaps a person standing in prayer will only gain exhaustion"

It was narrated by Imam Ahmad (8856) and it is in As-Sahih al-Musnad (1372) for my father, Shaykh Muqbil رحمه الله📙

Keeping our limbs free from sins- no insults, no lies, no slander, and no gossip- is far more difficult then staying away from eating and drinking. Therefore fasting person must preserve his tongue, preserve his sight, preserve his hearing, preserve all his limbs, this way his fasting will hopefully not go to waste.

▪️Ibn al-Qayyim said in his book "Zad al-Ma'ad" (1/386):

Whoever’s Friday is sound, will have a peaceful week. Whoever’s Ramadan is sound will have a peaceful year. Whoever’s hajj is sound, will have a  peaceful life. Friday is the scale used to balance the week, Ramadan is the scale used to balance the year and Hajj is the scale used to balance the rest of our lives.

Hadith: Charity freed from the jaws of seventy devils

RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam Said Charity does not leave a man until it is freed from the jaws of seventy devils.
Musnad Ahmed : 3574 - Sahih
📖With regard to the virtues of Soorah Ya-Seen, there are ahaadeeth concerning its virtues which are not saheeh.

the hadeeth narrated from Abu Hurayrah, which says that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah recited Ta-Ha and Ya-Seen one thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth. When the angels heard the Qur’aan they said, ‘Glad tidings to the nation to whom this will be revealed, and glad tidings to the hearts that will bear this, and glad tidings to the tongues that will speak these words.’”

(Narrated by al-Daarimi, 3280. al-Albaani said in al-Da’eefah (1248): (it is) munkar (a form of da’eef or weak hadeeth)).

And the same may be said of the hadeeth narrated from Ma’qal ibn Yassaar, which says: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Recite Ya-Seen over your dead.”

(Narrated by Abu Dawood, 3121; Ibn Maajah, 1448. Shaykh al-Albaani said: With regard to reciting Soorat Ya-Seen over the deceased and turning him to face the qiblah, there is no saheeh hadeeth to this effect. Ahkaam al-Janaa’iz, p. 11)

And the same may be said of the hadeeth of Anas ibn Maalik according to which the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever enters the graveyard and recites Soorat Yaa-Seen, (the torment) will be reduced for them that day, and he will have hasanaat equivalent to the number of people in the graveyard.”

Shaykh al-Albaani said in al-Da’eefah (1246): It is mawdoo’ (fabricated). It was narrated by al-Tha’labi in his Tafseer (3/161/2)

Al-Ghasb (Illegal Seizure of Property)

Al-Ghasb is to illegally and forcefully seize another person’s property.

Allah said:
"And eat up not one another's property unjustly (in any illegal way e.g. stealing, robbing, deceiving, etc.),'' [Translation Al-Baqarah 2:188]

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "Indeed, your blood and wealth are inviolable to one another." (Muslim)

He (pbuh)also said, "If a man unjustly usurps an inch of land, Allah will burden him to dig in it until he reaches the bottom of the seventh earth." (At-Tabaraani).

He (PBUH) also said, "It is unlawful to take the property of a Muslim without his consent." (Abu Dawud)
