in the original artic monkeys version, "crawling back to you" sounds angry and embarrassed, like the singer is humiliated by their withstanding love for this person in spite of how toxic the relationship is. but in the hozier version, it just sounds resigned. he has already accepted that he will continue to return to this person despite the decision causing him obvious pain and turmoil.
