The ideal candidate will contribute to projects involving advanced control techniques for optimal operation of AC-DC and DC-DC converters, utilized for wind power generation and electrolyzers. Proficiency in MatLab/Simulink, as well as real-time control systems (e.g., dSPACE, Opal-RT), is highly desirable.

We are seeking a PhD student to work on wheat / rapeseed intercropping!
The idea is that by combining a tap-rooted species (rapeseed) with a the more shallow root system of wheat, we will achieve better use of soil resources especially water. Thereby we strive to develop a more climate resilient, diverse and productive cropping system. The project is fully funded by the German ministry of Agriculture for three years and covers many exciting aspects of the physiological interactions of different crops in a mixed cropping system. Below is a picture of this year's tentative experiments. These experiments will be expanded and conducted in three field locations.
If you have a masters degree in crop science or a related field and find this topic appealing, please apply! German language skills are a bonus but not essential. What is really important is that you have a driving license valid in Germany, as you will need to reach different field locations regularly.
