Position Details
Job Title: Doctoral Candidate (University Assistant)

Employment Start: As soon as possible
Duration: 4 years
Working Hours: 30 hours per week (flexible by arrangement)
Salary: Minimum €2,786.10 gross/month (14 times per year), with potential increases based on experience
Responsibilities
Conducting independent research in the field of stochastics/statistics, including writing and publishing a dissertation
Supporting research and teaching activities in the department
Carrying out administrative tasks related to research projects
Teaching two semester hours per week starting from the second year of employment
Actively participating in research projects
Requirements
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science
Enrollment in a relevant doctoral program at Paris Lodron University of Salzburg
Desired Qualifications
Master’s thesis in stochastics/statistics
Strong foundation in at least one of the following areas:
Nonparametric statistics
