Children's Health Andrews Institute (CHAI) in Plano, TX, is recruiting a motivated PhD student to join our Sports Science and Research Laboratory (SSRL) through a graduate research assistantship in collaboration with Concordia University-St. Paul
This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to ACL rehabilitation research while gaining hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art orthopedic and sports medicine facility serving a range of youth and professional athletes that is also partnered with EXOS.
🔍 About the PhD & Assistantship:
📌 Earn a PhD in Kinesiology with concentrations available in Exercise Science, Sports Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, or Strength and Conditioning.
📌 Conduct cutting-edge ACL research and collaborate with multidisciplinary sports medicine, rehabilitation, and performance teams.
📌 Gain experience in motion capture, force plate analysis, return-to-sport testing, and more!
📌 Stipend & tuition waiver included in exchange for 20 hours/week of research efforts.
✅ Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Explore emerging first-in-class approaches with polymer chemistry to develop sustainable bio-based thermosets and closed-loop recycling for renewable polymers.
📚 Qualifications Required:
• 🎓 Master’s degree in Chemistry (Polymer Chemistry preferred)
• 🧪 Experience in polymer synthesis and characterization
• 🌿 Knowledge in bio-based polymers or renewable resources is a plus
• 🔍 Additional expertise in Organic Chemistry, Flow Chemistry, Bio-refinery Engineering, or Organic Photochemistry
