I’m launching a new research lab at the University of Vermont in Fall 2025 and looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join me in exploring molecular dynamics, quantum mechanical calculations, and modeling of metalloenzymes and biological systems.
🔬 Research Areas:
• Molecular Dynamics (MD)
• Quantum Mechanical (QM) & QM/MM simulations
• Bioinformatics & metal binding in biology
• Computational modeling of metalloenzymes
What You’ll Do:
• Conduct independent and collaborative research
• Mentor students
• Present findings at conferences
• Receive full support for scientific communication, networking, and training
Ideal Background:
✔️ Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Physics, or a related field
✔️ Experience in QM/MM or MD simulations
✔️ Familiarity with computational clusters or coding (training available)
➕ Experimental or structural biology experience is a bonus
✔️ Independence, motivation, and curiosity required!

• First-class or 2.1 degree in Chemistry or related field
