Explore how extracellular enzymes contribute to the biodegradation of water-soluble polymers (WSPs) in wastewater and freshwater environments. The project involves enzyme assays, molecular-level analysis, and enzyme identification techniques.

🇮🇹 PhD Position Announcement: Soundscape & Acoustic Environments in the Alps

We are pleased to announce a fully funded 3-year PhD opportunity at the University of Trento (Italy), in collaboration with EURAC Research (Bolzano) and University College London (UK). The position will begin in November 2025 and is part of the “Soundscape for All” project.

About the Project:
This interdisciplinary research focuses on developing an integrated framework for analyzing acoustic environments for both humans and non-human species in mountain regions, with a particular emphasis on the Italian Alps.

Key Features:
• Interdisciplinary research: soundscape, bioacoustics, and ecoacoustics
• Fieldwork in the Trentino–South Tyrol Alps
• Research period at UCL Institute for Environmental Design
• Focus on human well-being, biodiversity, and psychoacoustics
