1. Developing sustainable, resilient, and adaptable concrete structures as well as related design codes. This topic requires strong passion in structural design, structural analysis, and hands-on lab work. This research line involves the development and application of advanced materials (e.g., UHPC and FRP) and advanced design tools (e.g., topology optimization and data-driven designs).
2. Developing autonomous construction techniques to automate the construction industry. This topic requires a strong background in mathematics and python as well as experience or passion in robotics, computer vision, or machine learning.
