The Ph.D. degree is offered jointly with the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Applicants to the program are admitted to both Ph.D. programs of UCSD and SDSU, and graduates receive separate Ph.D. degrees from both Institutions.

Tuition and stipend support will provide to the admitted Ph.D. student. The student will work on the fabrication of various conducting and semiconducting materials for a wide range of energy devices. Candidates with a background in Mechanical Engineering/Materials Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ and Physics are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of thin film deposition and being familiar with computational/simulation software is a plus.

Requirement:
· GPA: 3.0 for B.S. / 3.5 for M.S.
