The project will use Super Resolution Microscopy, because the designed DNA origami nanostructures emit fluorescence signals that are recorded at nanometer resolution using DNA points accumulation for imaging in nanoscale topography (DNA-PAINT). The candidate will join a diverse and multidisciplinary team with expertise in biology, biotechnology, computer science, microscopy and electrical engineering that is developing new microscopy hardware and new computational algorithms for the encoding and decoding of data, creating diverse training opportunities. We are looking for creative candidates that are motivated to explore the emerging field of DNA-based data storage. Our lab is recruiting a postdoc to work on macrophages (phagosome biology and/or macrophage state)!
We are a diverse team of immunologists, microbiologists, and bioengineers, and our scientific priority presently is understanding how human innate immune responses contribute to Mtb control.
My advising commitment is to provide you with resources, tools, access, and guidance as we tackle big questions, and importantly, to me, to be your cheerleader.
Background with and/or desire to learn CRISPR screening would be awesome as I think these projects will need it!
