The goal of the project is to use distributed temperature sensing in sewer pipes to estimate flow rates. This project provides a unique opportunity for the student to collaborate directly with stormwater regulators, water districts, and engineering professionals to develop advanced monitoring approaches for sewer systems. Preference will be given to candidates with data analytics, programming, and/or urban stormwater management backgrounds.
