My colleague Sampada Bodkhe and I at the "#Space Resources and #Lunar #Infrastructure Engineering Research Lab" at Polytechnique Montréal are #HIRING a highly motivated #PhD student to develop a cutting-edge construction paradigm on the #Moon! We will work on an exciting #interdisciplinary research project: MODULAR 3D-PRINTING #CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY USING GEOPOLYMER-BASED COMPOSITES FOR LUNAR SURFACE APPLICATIONS.
The research project focuses on #geopolymer-based advanced #materials, additive manufacturing, modular construction technology, digital twins, and lunar geotechnical and structural engineering. This fully-funded research project aims to create a product that serves as the primary #construction element for modular #autonomous construction in remote areas on Earth or lunar habitats resilient in the lunar environment (#moonquake, radiation, low gravity, extreme temperatures).
The project will take place at Polytechnique Montréal and will be led by Professors Pooneh Maghoul (Civil Engineering) and Sampada Bodkhe (Mechanical Engineering). It will involve close collaboration with our industry partner, MET Ltd. (a startup company), in Alberta.

• Ability to work well with a team and be driven and self-motivated in achieving goals.
• A minimum G.P.A. of 3.7/4.0 or equivalent in your last 60 credit hours of study is required.
• A minimum IELTS score of 7.0 is required.

✅ پاسخ:
با عرض تبریک فراوان خدمت دوستانی که این ایمیل رو بالاخره دریافت کردند برای پاسخ این ایمیل نکات زیر رو در نظر داشته باشید:
1⃣ نفس عمیقی بکشید. سریع و شتاب زده پاسخ ندید. چون امکان بی دقتی و اشتباه وجود داره. بعد از گذشت زمان و آرامش با یه همچین متنی شروع کنید:
" I am writing to accept your offer to enroll in [program] at [university]."
2⃣ مشتاق بودنتون رو نشون بدین ولی نه با تعجب و اغراق، از متن هایی مانند " من باور نمیکردم که اکسپت بشم" یا "انتظار نداشتم" و... خودداری کنید. مثلا این متن میتونه مناسب باشه:
"I am delighted to accept your invitation to begin graduate studies at [university]
و در ادامه خوشحالیتون رو از حضور در اون شهر و دانشگاه بیان کنید.
3⃣ مشخصات خودتون و پروگرم رو به دقت چک کنید. بعضی دانشگاه ها امکان داره در مورد خوابگاه و سکونت از شما بپرسند یا فرم هایی رو بخواهند که شما پر کنین، به دقت موارد خواسته شده رو جواب بدین. هر سوالی دارین هر چند که بنظرتون سوال پیش پا افتاده ای باشه حتما بپرسید، کامل جوابتون رو میدن.

A Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) position is available for a Ph.D. student within the Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences at Mississippi State University. The selected candidate will participate in a fully funded effort to investigate novel models of developmental programming in cattle using metabolomic profiling techniques. Research opportunities exist that involve examining whole-animal and in vitro aspects of cattle physiology. In a collaborative effort, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to gain multidisciplinary experience with field and laboratory techniques as directed by the student's graduate committee. In brief, studies will include imaging and monitoring animal physiology during pregnancy and offspring sampling to examine developmental origins of health and disease. In vitro work will focus on endogenous regulators of uteroplacental functional capacity and biophotonic imaging. In addition to professional development opportunities on campus, the selected candidate will receive experience in formal and non-formal instruction of livestock physiology. Service at the departmental, college, or national level will be supported throughout the student's program. Research expenses will be covered by the principal investigator and collaborative development of exploratory studies will be strongly encouraged to assist the candidate with post-graduation career transition.

Research opportunities exist that involve examining whole-animal and in vitro aspects of cattle physiology. In a collaborative effort, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to gain multidisciplinary experience with field and laboratory techniques as directed by the student's graduate committee. In brief, studies will include imaging and monitoring animal physiology during pregnancy and offspring sampling to examine developmental origins of health and disease. In vitro work will focus on endogenous regulators of uteroplacental functional capacity and biophotonic imaging. In addition to professional development opportunities on campus, the selected candidate will receive experience in formal and non-formal instruction of livestock physiology. Service at the departmental, college, or national level will be supported throughout the student's program. Research expenses will be covered by the principal investigator and collaborative development of exploratory studies will be strongly encouraged to assist the candidate with post-graduation career transition.

Qualifications: Ideal candidates will be self-motivated with a M.S. degree in Animal Science, or closely related field. Current M.S. students are encouraged to apply; however, degrees must be received before admission to Mississippi State University. Desirable candidates should have excellent academic records (minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0) plus experience working with farm animals and/or conducting basic laboratory procedures.
