This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in an interdisciplinary, and cutting-edge research on Bio-Inspired materials for ground engineering at the College of Engineering and Physical Science at Aston University. This PhD is a competition funded project for a duration of 3 years and offers excellent academic experience. This Studentship covers PhD tuition fees and a maintenance allowance at UKRI stipend level for home and overseas students.
Given the interdisciplinary nature of this position, candidates with Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering. Preferred skill requirements include knowledge/experience of standard geotechnical experiments and finite element analysis (COMSOL Multi-physics).
