We welcome applications to join the Marketing Ph.D. program in the Department of Marketing at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), Carlos Alvarez College of Business (ACOB). The department has 9 tenured/tenure-track faculty and 8 Ph.D. students working on various research projects in the domains of consumer behavior and strategy. Our department routinely ranks in the top 50 of the UT Dallas North American Rankings of Business Schools based on Research Contribution; faculty work closely with PhD students and often publish in top marketing journals including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and Marketing Science, among others. The doctoral funding package includes an annual assistantship with a salary of $25,000 per year for research assistant/teaching assistant employment at 19 hours per week. All application materials are due by April 19, 2024.
UTSA is Carnegie R1 University and a Hispanic Serving Institution; the ACOB is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

My research group focuses on building environmental and energy systems, air pollutant control and mitigation strategies, low-cost air quality sensors, field measurements and modeling, and biostatistics for health outcomes.
The candidates would ideally have a master’s degree in relevant fields, but not limited to: architectural and environmental engineering, environmental science, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, and public health.
