The selected student will focus on advancing "Innovative Power Electronics Technologies for Enhancing Power Quality in Smart Grids."
1. Have a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics).
2. Have a strong knowledge of power electronics modelling, design, control, testing, and prototyping.
3. Have a strong knowledge of DSP/Microcontrollers programming.
4. Have a knowledge of motor control (optional).
5. Have experience in designing and implementing embedded systems: Hardware/Software (DSP, FPGA), Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation, and experimental implementation of power electronics and power systems using OPAL-RT and dSPACE.
6. Good in developing and implementing new closed-loop control strategies.
7. Have published in IEEE journals.
8. Have good communication and written skills.
