Russia has closed the investigation into the downing of an Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) aircraft, sparking anger in Azerbaijan

Russia’s Investigative Committee terminated the criminal case into the crash. Azerbaijan’s foreign minister said the decision “raises serious questions,” especially since Russia had previously acknowledged responsibility and promised compensation.

In December 2024, an AZAL aircraft crashed near Aktau. There were 67 people on board, and 38 were killed. The plane was flying from Baku to Grozny but was shot down by Russian air defense.

Денис Капустін був російським добровольцем і нашим давнім другом. Росіянин, який ще задовго до повномасштабного вторгнення зробив свій вибір і у 2022 році став до збройної боротьби на боці України проти імперської росії.

Воював за країну, в якій жив із 2017 року, бо сприймав її як простір реального спротиву та свободи. Тому в 2022, формуючи перші загони майбутньої Третьої штурмової і Третього корпусу, ми разом зустрічали спільного ворога у боях за Київ.

Згодом Денис створив і очолив окремий підрозділ — Російський добровольчий корпус. А про його зухвалі бойові рейди на територію росії дізнався весь світ. Він воював сам, вербував інших роісян і готував цих людей.

Денис «WhiteRex» був мужнім воїном і зробив вибір, який здійснити іншим бракує честі. Став нашим справжнім братом і соратником у війні. За звільнення України і своєї Батьківщини віддав життя у бою за Запоріжжі. Помстимося, друже!

Today, we, Ukrainians, pro-Ukrainians, free Russians and even all of us Europeans lost a true leader and a brave warrior.

One post cannot cover the heroism of Denis or his bravery or his achievements and what he laid grounds for.

His path will continue, faster, with even more determination than ever before. His loss is hard but reminds us what we all stand for and who we all face together.

A hero falls but will never be forgotten. The RVC will continue its path until liberating all Russians living under the Putin regime. Ukraine will continue the fight until every inch of Ukrainian soil is liberated. And Europe will continue until it's free and independent.

War has a cost and brings losses with it. But this is for a greater good, something simple words cannot begin to explain. This is for freedom — this is for Justice — and we will continue.
