The United States Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs released his Festivus Report (about wasteful programs by the US government) revealed that the Department of State allocated $ 4 840 082 (they actually spent 3,1 millions) on "Kyiv, Ukraine public affairs, Influencers Staff".
The program was "TO IDENTIY, TRAIN, AND ENGAGE 25 TO 40 SOCIAL MEDIA NFLUNCERS WHO PRODUCE AND PUBLISH THEIR OWN SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT IN LINE WITH U.S. FOREIGN POLICY OBJECTIVES, INFLUENCERS WILL PRODUCE AUTHENTIC, PERSUASIVE CONTENT IN LINE WITH THE EMBASSY MISSION GOALS AND COMBATTING DISINFORMATION BY REBUTTING RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION NARRATIVES."
