Hi analysts!⭐️
Recently, there's been speculation about the relevancy of the Scrum Master role. Some argue it's becoming obsolete, while others believe it's evolving rather than disappearing.

To note that roles and accountabilities are different things. In this article the author propose to focus on the Scrum Master role in an organisation, that includes but it’s not limited to the Scrum Master accountability from the Scrum Guide 2020.

Hi analysts! ⭐️
Recently, we’ve posted an article about PSPO I certification preparation. And now let’s add some details about the PSM I certification as well.

PSM I, which stands for Professional Scrum Master, level I, is much more popular among PMs as soon as this role is related to the processes inside the team, which is appealing to managers. But it may also be useful for BA’s as soon as analysts are heavily involved in most of the team activities and communications. Basically, on level 1, PSPO and PSM certificates are interchangeable because the main goal of both of them is to prove your understanding of the Scrum basic concepts.

Ok, so what is the bare minimum to pass the PSM I exam? You don’t need a lot: just the last version of the Scrum Guide and a few practice tests. That’s it! But as always, the devil is in the details.

If you have never passed any of the Scrum.org tests before, you might think that it checks, how do you KNOW Scrum. Which is not true! The test checks, how do you UNDERSTAND Scrum. Questions in the test are often presented as situations on the project, where you should choose the right answer based on the internal logic of Scrum. And you can answer these questions correctly only when you understand how this logic is applied in a particular situation.

And this is where the practice tests are coming into play. You may find a lot of free and paid options on the Internet, so choose the last updated ones with good reviews and more questions and variants available. Most of these practice tests not only mark correct and incorrect answers in the results but also provide comments on why the answer is right or wrong. And these comments will teach you as much as the Scrum Guide itself.

So the basic recipe is:
1️⃣ Read the Scrum Guide.
2️⃣ Do practice tests.
3️⃣ Read the comments.
🔄 Repeat.

Preparation for the test is as simple as Scrum: you just need to think about what you are doing and why. Good luck! 🍀
