Civilization comes at a cost.
The price is steep, all things good and mighty surrendered, virility, wildness, risk. It costs our Strength, our Courage, our Wisdom, our mastery of self and most of all our honor and nobility.

The Sacred Act

True veneration and spirituality is not in idle prayer or empty ceremony instead it is found in the Sacred Act.
The sacred act of weaving.
The sacred act of smithing.
The sacred act of farming.
The sacred act of husbandry.
The sacred act of beekeeping.
The sacred act of story telling.
The sacred act of kindness.
The sacred act of love.

All of these and more acts of the sacred are ours to honor and venerate in ourselves, in each other, in the Gods. While we cannot perform all of the sacred acts ourselves we should come to appreciate them in others where we see them while becoming at least familiar with as many as possible ourselves even should the attempt be less than impressive because the honest attempt too is a sacred act.

"I am the forest, I am ancient. I treasure the stag, I treasure the deer. I shelter you from storm, I shelter you from snow. I resist the frost, I keep the source. I nurse the earth, I am always there. I build your house, I kindle your hearth. Therefore, you people, hold me dear!"

"Ich bin der Wald, Ich bin uralt. Ich hege den Hirsch, Ich hege das Reh. Ich schütz Euch vor Sturm, Ich schütz Euch vor Schnee. Ich wehre dem Frost, Ich wahre die Quelle. Ich hüte die Scholle, Bin immer zur Stelle. Ich bau Euch das Haus, Ich heiz Euch den Herd. Drum ihr Menschen, Haltet mich wert!"

As men, we must lead the family as mentor, protector, spiritual leader, and provider.
Men are meant to lead. It is deeply embedded in our bones.

By leading the family, we should show by example:

Love, Values, Respect, Discipline, Fortitude, Kindness, and Self-Reliance.

Don’t forget to have fun along the way. Starting a family is one of the greatest adventures a man can embark on, his life and priorities will be forever changed.

Be the man that leads by example
Changing the world starts at home

Mothers are an invaluable bedrock in the development of the family.
The different roles women assume in the family are those of wife, administrator, manager of family assets and last but not least important, the mother.

A well-ordered disciplined household is essential to normal family life.
She assigns duties among family members according to their interest and abilities, while providing means to achieve familial cohesion.

Her interaction with the children during the most formative period of their development sets up behaviour patterns that will accompany them throughout their lifetime.

She is the first teacher of the child. She transmits social heritage to the child. It is from mother that the child learns the laws of the race, the manner of men, moral code and ideals.

The mother is the central personality of the home. All the members turn to her for sympathy, understanding and recognition. Mothers are the lifeblood of the tribe and give birth to heroes and gods.

I hope this shed some light on how important our women are.
I am not female, but it is obvious how undervalued our lasses can be in our lives. Ladies, you are appreciated and know that aside every great man, a woman has left her mark.
A Hyperborean man will set the world ablaze to protect his woman, and never let the flames get near her.
You are needed, wanted, appreciated and loved. Here’s to you ladies.

Replica of an original curved copper bandage that was found around the arm of an Anglo-Saxon skeleton, discovered in a cemetery during an archaeological dig. Dated to around 500-1,000 CE.

Beneath the thin copper layer the remains of plant material were found. It is believed that these were medicinal plants applied to a wound to heal an injury.

"Vulcan sends mingled embers to the stars.
For by Ceres, the discoverer of grain, he means “bread”
by Liber, the discoverer of the vine, “wine”,
by Venus, “desire” and by Vulcan, “fire.”
