This is after they began using rubber bullets and tear gas on a peaceful crowd and turned off body cams at that time. They also were using strobe lights on people who were streaming from their balconies, and cleared people off their own roofs to position snipers. Be weary of police trying to use body cams to THEIR advantage!

LESSER KNOWN TIPS ON TEAR GAS!

Wear a cotton flannel around your waste. Not only does it help protect you ass from rubber bullets, its extremely useful to wipe down goggles after skirmishes for that same reason alcohol swabs are useful, but having a cotton button up is extremely useful as you don't have to fumble with pockets.

If you plan to interact directly with the tear gas cannisters you need to be able to treat yourself, or have a partner nearby ready to help you. Have a squirt bottle filled saline solution (6mg of salt per ml of water) and a squirt bottle filled with LAW (50% milk of magnesia, antacid, or baking soda (don't use mint)).

Wipe area with paper towels, tilt head back, hold open eyes and flush. Then pour/squirt the rest of your face to rinse residual tear gas away (tear gas is a powder in aerosolized cabs) spray the LAW to neutralize residual tear gas

The simplest way to neutralize tear gas is to just put a bucket over it. No smaller than plastic ice cream tubs. If you are planning getting rid of the gas entirety, make sure to turn the canister away from you as you pick it up to throw it. Protestors here are also getting better at the traffic cone technique from Hong Kong

If you have the canister spray at you while you pick it up, make sure you cover the side of you exposed to the tear gas with neutralizing spray. I've seen a couple people get streaks of tear gas powder up their sides and on their backpacks after throwing them back

Tennis rackets aren't useful currently. If you want to take the rout of hitting them back, bring a hockey stick. They camo as signs very easily anyways if you just tape cardboard over the end

Unless you have a $200 mask, you're gonna end up with some tear gas in your eyes and lungs. Before you throw a cannister back, make sure you take a deep breath, and be aware of where you're gonna run after by paying attention to what direction the gas is blowing.

Some Hong Kong protesters have gotten extreme blisters from exposure to gas too close up and too often. Usually touching with gloved hands and doing it every weekend two days in a row.

And, tear gas is hot! Using gloves or tongs is advised.
