This guy's known out here as "Trumpet Man," he got arrested earlier today for trespassing in a public park. He says the sheriff that booked him said "I got 21 homicide cases right now and you want me to book this guy for malicious trumpeting?" https://t.co/mhX8HWm6Bw

Temuco, Chile: Mapuche protesters tired of repression, police harassment and discrimination against their people take to the streets.
"The Telegram messages don’t show the protesters planning to harass or target police or damage property. A significant portion of their discussion is about how to avoid encounters with police, particularly federal officers, who they knew had detained protesters.
“We went down the side street and it seemed to deter them from following us, they retreated,” one unidentified user said about an earlier encounter with Portland police. “Seems they’re less inclined to go into residential neighborhoods which makes sense.” "

Here’s LAPD Sgt. Bunch (badge 5134) literally admitting he threw me to the ground when I was peacefully filming and standing exactly where the officer told me to. He literally says “Yeah, I did that” https://t.co/zIngSCDgnZ

A really awful, if expected, example of how anti-indigeneity alongside anti-blackness are foundational and structural in policing not only in the United States. Here, a new story from so-called Canada.
Before covid hit, indigenous rail blockades had ground down Canadian logistics almost to a standstill. They were interrupted by the pandemic. The legal repression is now hitting hard. Check out the thread and spread the word if you can. Solidarity.
