Although fighting back against structural anti-blackness has been a central rallying point of the summer's rebellion, let's not forget about its colonial cousin anti-indigeneity who lives on quite thoroughly in amerikkka's hat up north (aka kkkanada). They must be abolished together. #StandUpFightBack

It's incredible how "community control of policing" is a controversial idea. What's so controversial about this?
First, could you imagine if it was the other way around? If communities could control their own policing and how to do it, and some guys came down and said "actually no, from now on no matter what you think, what you say or what you want, the state and the federal government are gonna decide that for you and you have no say in the matter" One would rightly accuse them of wanting to take away their liberties.
A community (personal opinion) ought to regulate itself, to be really democratic, insofar as it respects basic freedoms and doesn't cause problems with nearby communities.

The same people who keep inventing new scapegoats every week, have now decided that the guys that a year ago were proposing policies to bring totalitarianism to the US (something that nobody wants, in case anybody was wondering, but this was their shitty talking point), have now become way too inconsiderate vis-a-vis the central government and its institutions of power, and now their proposals just want to bring anarchy. These darn leftists are at the same time totalitarian stalinists and state-hating anarchists. They hate every freedom and any democracy and at the same time they love too much freedom and democracy. They are an evil, huge mob marching by the thousands down the streets and at the same time a bunch of soft, whiny, lazy wealthy college-students. America has never been this great and "the best has yet to come" and at the same time is in complete disarray, falling down and in dire need of someone to help it go back to its glorious past. They are both the silent majority (they really aren't, by any metrics) and a small minority of enlightened people who have seen the Light tweets and believed.
