When 40 million people are forcefully removed from their homes, there wont be an America anymore. 40 million will not willingly walk out their front doors onto the curb to have all their assets thrown in a dumpster. If politicians sentence 40 million from hardship to freezing weather, the backlash will leave no America standing. Banks wont get to consolidate any property. Theres no shelters big enough for 40 million people. A freezing cold death sentence will be warmed by roaring fires set by the victims. America is exploring a dark territory if it does nothing. There will be a point they wont extend a moratorium and that is when America will die. Housing insecurity is a black lives matter issue. Because those who are housing insecure or homeless are disproportionately black or indigenous. Canceling rent for a year costs less than the bipartisan stimulus package. It would help both landlords and tenants. But American politicians would rather see suffering. $740 billion rent cancellation and penalties for banks consolidating forclosed properties. $110 billion for new homes for the homeless. Anything short of that is murder committed by the government, and we will say the names of those who freeze this winter because these murders are just as unforgivable.
