✨The crypto market at the end of May 2023 has yet to come out of its slump due to the lack of breakout volatility.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market increased ~$46B (from ~$1,116B to ~$1,162B) of its total capitalization.

✨Bitcoin Returns to $28k
✅Last week didn't go all that well for the BTC, especially after the latest rejection at $27,5K recorded on Tuesday. By Thursday, the bears took complete control of the market and pushed it south to a two-week low at $25,8K.

✅The landscape started to change as the working week came to an end, and BTC quickly reclaimed $26K. It even spiked to almost $27K by Saturday.

✅However, the bulls propelled a more impressive price increase on Sunday night, driving the cryptocurrency to a multi-day high of $28,4K.

✅Its market cap has risen to $546B, while its Dominance over the altcoins sits close to 46.7%.

✨Altcoins Have Also Headed Higher During The Weekend
✅BSCS is trading at $0,01028, +4,91% from its 7-day all-time low of $0,009794.

✅Although it slipped below $1.8K, ETH quickly returned to $1.9K on Sunday night. BNB, MATIC, DOGE, TRX, DOT, LTC, and AVAX are up by 0.5% to 2% in a day.

✅More gains from the larger-cap alts come from ADA, SHIB, and top performer – SOL. SOL has jumped by almost 5% and currently trades above $20.

✅With most lower- and mid-cap alts seeing green, the total crypto market cap is close to $1,162B. The metric dipped below $1,100B just a few days ago.

✨The cryptocurrency market has passed through May 2023 without much noticeable volatility; as a result, trading activity and volume on major exchanges have dropped to lows not seen since 2020.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market decreased ~$28B (from ~$1,162B to ~$1,134B) of its total capitalization.

✨BTC Flat at $27K
✅Less than a week ago, on Monday, the primary cryptocurrency initiated a massive leg-up that tapped a three-week high at $28,5K. This came after the initial deal reached by the US government in regard to the nation’s debt ceiling.

✅However, the asset failed to continue upwards and returned to $28K by Tuesday. A significant $1K price drop started on Wednesday, and ultimately, BTC dropped to a weekly low on Friday morning at under $26,6K.

✅The bulls intercepted the move and helped Bitcoin recover losses when the weekend arrived. The past two days have been relatively uneventful, as the cryptocurrency remains stuck at just under $27K amid the typically low weekend trading volumes.

✅BTC’s total capitalization is $520B, and its Dominance over altcoins is 45.9%.

✨LDO, INJ, QNT Record Weekly Gains
✅BSCS is trading at $0,008714, +1,30% from its 7-day all-time low of $0,008602.

✅The larger-cap altcoins have mimicked BTC’s performance during the weekend, meaning there are little-to-no volatile movements. Despite a minor daily setback, ETH still stands at ~$1,9K after going below and over that level during the week.

✅XRP, DOGE, MATIC, LTC, SHIB, and AVAX have all added less than 1% in the past 24 hours. ADA, SOL, and DOT are up by 1-2%.

✅LDO, INJ, and QNT have soared over 15% within seven days.

✨The cryptocurrency market received two heavy blows when the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a lawsuit against Binance and Coinbase, alleging illegal trading of cryptocurrencies that were declared securities, along with many other mistakes.

✨However, last week also recorded many positive updates from the development of Ethereum, Optimims, DeFi - Web3 projects funded, and the MiCA law was officially passed in the EU.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market decreased ~$87B (from ~$1,134B to ~$1,047B) of its total capitalization.

✨BTC Reacted Better
✅BTC experienced enhanced volatility almost a week ago when it dumped from $27K to under $25,4K once the SEC announced its two back-to-back lawsuits against Binance and Coinbase. Interestingly, it reacted well and skyrocketed by $2K after the second one.

✅After that, Bitcoin experienced some volatility, briefly reaching $26,5K before dropping due to a market decline. It fluctuated between $26,2K and under $25,5K and now struggling below $26K

✨Alts’ Rollercoaster
✅BSCS is trading at $0,007886, +3,43% from its 7-day all-time low of $0,007624.

✅The recent allegations made by the US Securities and Exchange Commission that many cryptocurrencies could be unregistered securities have started to take their toll on the market.

✅Many of the mentioned by the SEC in its lawsuits against Binance and Coinbase plummeted by double digits yesterday. These include ADA, SOL, SHIB, AVAX, FIL, and many others.

✅However, the landscape for some of them is quite different. ADA has jumped 9% to over $0.27. SHIB is up by a similar percentage, SOL has added 7%, which was also mimicked by FIL, CRO, GRT, and others.
