🔊Weekly Market Highlights #76: December 11 - December 17

✨Last week, the cryptocurrency market witnessed big-cap coins like BTC and ETH adjustments because of US interest rate news. However, the growth trend continues strongly with many other small-cap coins, notably BONK.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market decreased by ~$27B (from ~$1,582B to ~$1,555B) of its total capitalization.

✨BTC Back to $42K
✅BTC retraced on Sunday after a 19-month peak and experienced a significant drop on Monday, hitting just below $41K.

✅Despite setbacks, bulls reversed the trajectory to $43K. Vulnerabilities in Ledger's system on Thursday briefly caused a plunge, but a swift recovery followed the announcement of a resolution.

✅On Friday and Saturday, BTC reached a local peak of $42.7K but struggled to surpass it. Now, it hovers just below $42K, with its market cap slipping below $820B.

✨BONK, ICP Are the Weekly Winners
✅The past week went mainly under the influence of the latest meme coin sensation – the Solana-based BONK. It shot up at one point by over 100% daily and more than 1,200% weekly to register a new all-time high. It also boosted SOL’s price, but the asset has retraced during the weekend and is now trading at just over $70.

✅The other massive gainer lately has been ICP. It’s up by 15% over the past 24 hours and more than 80% weekly. As a result, ICP now trades above $10.

✅SHIB has jumped by 9% within the past 24 hours. The rest of the larger-cap altcoins sit in red, with ETH losing 1.5%, BNB down by 2.5%, ADA and LINK plummeting by over 3%

✅BSCS is trading at $0,01404 - ready for an explosion next week.
