🔊Weekly Market Highlights #93: April 8 - April 14

✨Recently, the cryptocurrency market has witnessed a sharp decrease in the price of BTC and all other altcoins due to the impact of less positive news.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization decreased by ~$215B (from ~$2,583B to ~$2,368B).

✨BTC’s Rollercoaster
✅Just 72 hours ago, BTC’s price hovered calmly above $70K, and it even challenged $71K. Yet, the landscape changed for the worse on Friday evening after speeches from high-ranking officials representing the US Central Bank saying the FED has no plans to start lowering interest rates anytime soon.

✅In minutes, BTC's price dropped to $65K. Interestingly, almost all financial markets went downhill on Friday, as gold’s price dropped by about 4%.

✅BTC recovered some ground on Saturday morning and jumped to just over $67K. However, the quickly escalating tension between Iran and Israel plunged the cryptocurrency’s price once again.

✅This time, the asset fell to a multi-week low of ~$61K, leaving more than $800M in liquidations. It has bounced off nicely and currently sits above $64K, but the risks remain.

✨Alts Were Battered
✅As typically happens when BTC heads south hard, so do most altcoins. They plummeted even more in the past 48 hours or so.

✅Although many have bounced off, the landscape is quite painful for a second day straight. There have been quite a few double-digit price declines, and SOL, XRP, DOGE, TON, ADA, AVAX, SHIB, DOT, and ETH are still deep in the red.

✅TON is the only name that grew strongly last week with an increase of ~28%, currently trading around ~$6.95

✅BSCS is trading at $0,01023: +7,59% from its 7-day all-time low of $0,009506.

✨Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index is 74 - Greed, lower than at the beginning of the week (76)

🔊Weekly Market Highlights #94: April 15 - April 21

✨The week of the 4th halving event in BTC history was dominated by macro news, sending BTC down to $59.6K - the lowest level since early March.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization increased by ~$20B (from ~$2,368B to ~$2,388B).

✨Bitcoin Aims at $65K
✅The week leading to the fourth BTC halving was quite painful. BTC fell from over $70K to $65K last Friday before it dumped to $61K a day later.

✅After regaining some traction by Monday, BTC experienced another freefall in the middle of the week and one more on Friday amid the escalating tension between Iran and Israel. The last massive drop took BTC to below $60K just hours before the highly anticipated halving was supposed to take place.

✅However, the cryptocurrency soared by over five grand in the next half a day and stood at around $65K when the halving was completed.

✅Since then, there has been little volatility, and BiTC currently sits around $65K again after failing at $66K.

✨SHIB Takes the Main Stage
✅The altcoins have performed much better than BTC in the past week, led by the second-largest meme coin, Shiba Inu. SHIB has skyrocketed by 20% and now trades above $0.000026.

✅Other lower-cap meme coins have also presented double-digit gains, such as BONK, FLOKI, and PEPE.

✅LINK, ICP, NEAR, and INJ also increased well this week, from ~13% to 18%.

✅BNB, XRP, ADA, DOT, LTC, and UNI are also green, with around 6-8% gains.
