✨The cryptocurrency market in the first week of 2025 mirrors the final week of 2024, with minimal significant changes, as many projects remain resting, preparing for the next growth phase.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization increased by ~$180B (from ~$3325B to ~$3505B).

✨BTC at $98K
✅BTC had a rough start to the business week. Over the weekend, it struggled to hold above $94K before losing that support and plunging on Monday. The cryptocurrency dropped around $3K, hitting a monthly low of $91,3K.

✅While many expected further correction below $90K, the bulls stepped in to prevent another major drop. Instead, BTC began recovering, experiencing significant fluctuations but avoiding a worse decline.

✅By Friday, BTC had surged to $99K but faced resistance and retreated to $98K. Over the weekend, it traded within a narrow range and currently sits just above $98K, marking a 3.3% weekly gain.

✨Alts in Weekly Recovery
✅Most altcoins are posting strong weekly gains. ETH is up over 6%, trading above $3,600, while XRP has surged 9% to approximately $2.40.

✅Among larger-cap altcoins, ADA and DOGE lead the pack, both recording double-digit increases, with ADA soaring by 22%.

✅Other notable performers include SUI, which hit a new all-time high, along with XLM and AVAX. Meanwhile, TON and BNB have slipped slightly into the red for the week.

✨During a week when BTC saw a sharp correction after dropping below the $100K mark, the cryptocurrency market remained relatively subdued. However, notable updates on developments and legal activities still emerged.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization decreased by ~$247B (from ~$3505B to ~$3258B).

✨BTC Calms at $94K
✅BTC experienced a turbulent trading week. On Tuesday, it surged past $102K, only to plummet by over $10K within 48 hours. On Thursday, it hit a multi-week low near $91K, briefly threatening to dip below $90K.

✅The following hours saw continued volatility, with a rebound to $96K quickly rejected, sending the price back to nearly $92K.

✅Despite this, the bulls held their ground, pushing BTC to $94K, where it remained for most of the weekend, apart from a brief spike to $95K.

✅Vietnam's Ministry of Planning and Investment has proposed a controlled trial of fintech activities, including cryptocurrency exchanges, at financial centers. Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang will establish these centers in 2025, aiming to position Vietnam as a regional and global financial hub.

✅Data from The Block on January 8 shows that the trading volume ratio between decentralized exchanges (DEX) and centralized exchanges (CEX) has reached a record high of 20.21%. For every $1B traded on platforms like Binance and OKX, approximately $202M was traded on decentralized platforms.
