🔊Weekly Market Highlights #147: April 21 - April 27, 2025

✨The cryptocurrency market rebounded strongly over the past week following President Trump's remarks aimed at easing trade and economic tensions, despite lingering inconsistencies in talks with China.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization increased by ~$243B (from ~$2698B to ~$2941B).

✨BTC Rally Paused
✅It was a strong week for BTC, starting on Monday with a breakout above $86K, which pushed the asset over $87K. The momentum continued on Tuesday, with BTC finally surpassing $90K for the first time since early March.

✅After a slight pullback, BTC resumed its climb and hit $92K on Wednesday. The rally peaked on Friday, as bulls drove the price close to $96K, marking a two-month high.

✅The weekend was calmer, with BTC unable to break past that resistance despite another attempt on Sunday. Currently, BTC trades about $2K below its local peak.

✅On April 22, 2025, President Trump announced progress toward a trade deal with China and retracted earlier threats to fire Fed Chair Jerome Powell.

He also pledged to lower tariffs on Chinese goods. These moves boosted investor sentiment, triggering a strong rebound in the crypto market.
