✨During the first week of July 2025, the cryptocurrency market remained relatively quiet, a phase of consolidation following the turbulence of May and June. With little fresh market activity, public interest shifted to unusual events, most notably, a dormant BTC wallet that suddenly came to life after 14 years, moving $8.7B for reasons still unknown.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization increased by ~$34B (from ~$3341B to ~$3375B).

✨BTC Calm at $108K
✅It has been a quiet period for the primary cryptocurrency. In fact, the last major price movements occurred around June 23–24, when BTC plunged to $98K before surging past $105K the next day amid escalating conflict in the Middle East.

✅Since then, BTC has been trading within a tight range between $105K and $110K. It briefly touched the lower end on Wednesday, where bulls stepped in and pushed it back toward the upper boundary.

✅On Thursday, BTC made a breakout attempt, spiking to a multi-week high of $110.5K. However, bears quickly stepped up, preventing a move toward a new all-time high.

✅The market has remained relatively unchanged since, with BTC hovering around $108K for the past few days.

✨Featured News
✅According to Lookonchain, eight long-dormant BTC wallets suddenly became active over the weekend after more than 14 years. These wallets are believed to belong to a single early adopter or “Bitcoin OG” who acquired a total of 80,009 BTC back in 2011. At the time, BTC was trading between $0.78 and $3.37, meaning the total value of the holdings was under $220K.

Fast forward to today, that same stash is now worth approximately $8.7B. Interestingly, 40,000 BTC - about $4.35B - was transferred to new addresses, sparking speculation and curiosity across the crypto community about the intent behind sudden moves.
