✨In the third week of August 2025, the crypto market faced a sharp correction, impacting many major altcoins. The drop was driven by two main factors: a cooling-off after a strong two-month rally, and growing investor concerns that the Fed may delay rate cuts in September due to weak macro data.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization decreased by ~$44B (from ~$3997B to ~$3953B).

✨BTC Stalls Near $114K Amid Volatile Week
✅BTC struggled throughout the week, starting with a drop to $115K on Monday and continuing its decline to $113K by midweek. Friday brought even more turbulence as BTC dipped below $112K - its lowest level since early July.

✅However, the tide briefly turned after Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s speech hinted at possible interest rate cuts in September. BTC quickly surged to $117K in response but failed to hold those gains.

✅As of press time, the asset has cooled and is trading just under $114K.

✨The final week of August saw a sharp crypto market pullback from mid-month highs, driven by weak institutional inflows and widespread profit-taking.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization decreased by ~$191B (from ~$3953B to ~$3762B).

✨BTC Rejected at $109K
✅After surging past $117K last Friday following Jerome Powell’s speech, BTC cooled off around $115K over the weekend. However, heavy volatility struck late Sunday, sending the price plunging below $111K in under an hour.

✅Bulls attempted a recovery on Monday but were quickly rejected at $113.5K. The bearish pressure persisted, pushing BTC under $109K by Tuesday morning.

✅A second rally on Thursday was also capped at $113.5K, and by Saturday morning, BTC had dropped sharply to a new 7-week low of $107.2K. Although it bounced back to $109.5K on Sunday, momentum faded again. At present, BTC is struggling to hold above $108K following yet another rejection.
