Iran is trying to appear strong; they’re trying to demonstrate a deterrent capability. It is having the exact opposite effect: it’s further justification for a strike to collapse the regime. The regime is not capable of living in peace, & will go to war to keep its nuclear weapons program.

NOTEWORTHY: ALL fifteen US Navy destroyers are AEGIS systems with anti ballistic missile capability, AND pack hundreds of Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAMs). Each carrier battle group has a Ticonderoga class cruiser with it & they are also AEGIS equipped, & carry large stocks of TLAMs & have anti ballistic missile capability.
And there is at least one Ohio Class SSGN operating in the area with more than 150 TLAMs aboard.
