Announcing the establishment of the Based Foundation.

Based is the fastest-growing platform across perpetuals, prediction markets and spending. It is the #1 builder on Hyperliquid, generating approximately US$30 million in annualized revenue, and operates one of the leading prediction market products in the Polymarket ecosystem. Based’s mission is to build a Crypto superapp that enables anyone to trade anything and spend everywhere.

The Based Foundation has been established to accelerate the long-term growth of the ecosystem and to support the development of the next generation of Based products, including FX, payments, and commerce. The Foundation will steward protocol development, ecosystem expansion, and the rollout of new on-chain and consumer-facing capabilities.

The next phase of Based is the genesis of the native Based token, $BASED, planned for Q1 2026.

To participate in the Genesis Event, users must review and accept the Based Foundation Terms of Use at https://basedfoundation.com/terms by 8th February 2026, 12:00 PM (UTC).

BASED Season 2 Wrap Up

gBased all,

As we wrap up Season 2 of Gold farming, with an end date of 3rd January, we are fast approaching an inflection point for the future of Based. The time has come to not only reward our loyal users, but also for our team to craft a token experience unique to us.

With immediate effect, Season 2 Gold will no longer be distributed.

$BASED will be launched within Q1 of 2026, and the Based team will be focusing efforts on items that are key for launch in the meantime. Efforts have been made to sift through trading records to identify Based-aligned users.

Emissions for gold for trading & PUP has been distributed already; no more Gold will be distributed for these 2 categories.

Prediction market gold will be distributed tomorrow when the epoch ends.

Everything will go on as per normal.

Our #BasedNewYear campaign is now officially closed but the job's not finished.

We started 2026 by listening and now, we continue by building. We really loved what was communicated to us and some of these ideas will be the starting points of new verticals in our long-term roadmap.
