Concessions that Changed the World, The Surrender of the British Crown to the Papacy
In 1207, Pope Innocent III installed Stephen Langton as Archbishop of Canterbury. King John of England had another candidate in mind, and refused to acknowledge Langton, which according to Pope Innocent III was an act of "impious persecution." Innocent eventually excommunicated King John for his stubbornness—in effect barring him from God's forgiveness—causing John to write a concession that would change the course of history:
"As a result, the pope laid on England an interdict (1208-14), a sort of religious "strike", wherein no religious service be performed for anyone, guilty or innocent. When this didn't work, the king, himself, was excommunicated. Caving-in under that pressure, John wrote a letter of concession to the pope, hoping to have the interdict and the excommunication lifted (1213). John‘s concession which, in effect, made England a fiefdom of Rome, worked like a charm. The satisfied pope lifted the yoke he had hung on the people of England and their king"
Read the full text of John's Concession, a charter outlining the terms of the fiefdom. If these terms were not met, according to the charter, the crown of England would be surrendered to the Roman Catholic Church forever.
Soon after writing the concession, King John couldn't keep up with the necessary payments to Rome. So, in 1215 he broke the concession by signing the Magna Carta. At that time, Pope Innocent took official ownership of the crown:
"King John broke the terms of this charter by signing the Magna Carta on June 15, 1215. Remember; the penalty for breaking the 1213 agreement was the loss of the Crown (right to the kingdom) to the Pope and his Roman Church. It says so quite plainly. To formally and lawfully take the Crown from the royal monarchs of England by an act of declaration, on August 24, 1215, Pope Innocent III annulled the Magna Carta; later in the year, he placed an Interdict (prohibition) on the entire British empire. From that time until today, the English monarchy and the entire British Crown belonged to the Pope."
The Papacy has never given up this authority, and to this day is still the legal power ruling Great Britain. So when the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Pope knelt at the murder scene of Thomas Becket, it was a reminder to Britain that the Papacy still rules.

The letter G... in the middle of the flaming star represents the General of the Jesuits or the general of the order. Order and universe were synonymous, because the Jesuit order was to govern the universe. We then say the universe for order, because the whole world is teeming with Masons dedicated to Saint John, and these innumerable Masons are slaves chained by the Jesuits, rough stones that they wanted to carve. Thus, to express the assemblage of all the lodges, they said allegorically the universe, as they say, in Paris, the university, to express the union of all the Parisian colleges.

“The organization of the Roman Catholic Hierarchy is a complete military despotism, of which the Pope is the ostensible head . . . The Black Pope is the head of the Order of the Jesuits, and is called a General. He not only has command of his own Order, but directs and controls the General policy of the Roman Catholic Church. He is the power behind the throne, and is the real potential head of the Hierarchy . . . There is no independence of thought, or of action, in its subordinate parts. Implicit and unquestioning obedience to the orders of Superiors in authority, is the sworn duty of the priesthood of every grade . . . It would seem that the Jesuits had it in mind, from the beginning of the American Civil War, to find an occasion for the taking off of the assassination of Mr. Lincoln. The favorite policy of the Jesuits is that of assassination.”

“Every citizen, and every sojourner in this country, who is loyal to the Roman Catholic Church, is an enemy to our Government, of necessity, for he yields his highest allegiance to the Pope of Rome, a foreign potentate, who has time and again anathematized every fundamental principle of our Government. He has denounced liberty of conscience, freedom of speech and of press, freedom of worship and of teaching, as pestilent and damnable heresies; destructive to order, and to the peace and welfare of society. The highest dignitaries of this so called church have declared their purpose to make this a Roman Catholic country; but to do this it must be brought to the acceptance of the Pope of Rome as Christ’s Viceregent, or representative on earth, invested with all Temporal and Spiritual authority; above all Kings, Emperors, and civil rulers; the Supreme Judge and Lawgiver, whose decisions are infallible and final. This would make him lord of the conscience and master of the actions of all men throughout his dominion, which is nothing less than the earth. These are his monstrous claims; and his priests, of all grades, including the wily Jesuits, are laboring night and day to make them good in this land of ours
[...] Is there no danger when the Roman Hierarchy quarters its wily agents in the capital of our nation to exert their influence in shaping our laws, and in controlling Presidential appointments to the highest and most important offices? Is there not danger when all our Politicians who aspire to national fame feel that in order to succeed they must truckle to Rome, and be submissive? Is there not danger when the capital of our nation has been captured by the wily Jesuit, and Washington is literally ‘in the lap of Rome?’ Go into any and all of the departments of our Government and find seven elevenths of the Government employees in several of them, abject slaves of the Pope, and tell me is there no danger? Go into all of our cities and larger towns and find our municipal Governments in the hands of the faithful servants of this foreign despot, the Pope, and who are corruptly administering their affairs to enrich the church at the expense of the people, and tell me, is there no danger? Contemplate this alien and dangerous power in complete control of three-fourths of our newspapers and periodicals, and tell me, is there no danger?
[...] It is clear that Rome is rapidly getting control of all the sources of power in the United States, both in civil and military affairs; that she is doing so in pursuance of a well considered and wisely laid plan, and for the very purpose of subverting our Government.”

Jesuit Snuff
A Jesuit was asked whether it was licit to smoke a cigar while praying, and his answer was an unequivocal “no.” However, the subtle Jesuit quickly added that, while it was not licit to smoke a cigar while praying, it was perfectly licit to pray while smoking a cigar. —St. Holger’s Cigar Club
In the 16th and 17th centuries the Jesuits developed large tobacco plantations in Central and South America and held financial interests in retaining revenues from them. Dominicans, Franciscans, and Augustinians had similar arrangements in Central America.
During this time, the Jesuits, fond of their snuff, were accused by their Protestant and secular opponents of carrying poisoned snuff about their persons and offering it to those they attempted to assassinate. “Jesuit snuff,” this imaginary stuff came to be called. The fear surrounding it appears to have been most intense after tens of thousands of barrels holding fifty tons of Spanish snuff were captured from Spanish ships in Vigo Bay in 1702 by English admiral Thomas Hopsonn and found their way into the British market.
At the same time, Jesuit missionaries introduced the snuff they loved to China’s capitol during the Manchu dynasty, about 1715. For some time, Chinese converts to Catholicism were called “snuff-takers” by their countrymen and handled the manufacture and selling of snuff in Beijing. Many Tibetan Buddhist monks are still quite fond of snuff.

“There are two institutions in especial to which the Jesuits will lay siege. These are the Press and the Pulpit. They will strain every nerve to possess themselves of both, and work them for their own ends. The press of Great Britain is already manipulated by them to an extent of which the public but little dream. Not a few newspapers have a Jesuit on their staff as editor, or ‘contributor,’ or ‘reporter.’ The reporting force of the kingdom is, to a considerable extent, made up of Romanists; and the esprit de corps is such that a newspaper may, unaware to itself often, be influenced against a cause, or an individual obnoxious to Rome, although it may have no Romanist in its service. There are names the Times dare not mention; there are causes, true and noble, it dare not advocate. There are British authors as well as Irish farmers who are ‘Boycotted.’ The author speaks from documentary evidence when he says, that the identical Jesuit has been traced through successive disguises in the journalism of the metropolis: now assailing violently in his own proper character of Papist; and now in the guise of a pious Methodist, whispering into the editorial ear, in oily phrase, how much he was pained by such and such an article in his columns, it was so lacking in the sweet grace of charity. The whole English press of the world is supervised, and the word is passed round how writers, speakers, and causes are to be handled, so that everywhere its verdict may be the same, and applause or condemnation dealt out just as it may accord with the interests and wishes of Rome.”
