A puzzle for scientists was found in Shelbyville, Illinois, USA. The town was founded in 1827, which is very recent by historical standards.
How the city ended up 4-5 meters in the ground is a mystery. It seems that it was built not long ago, the sea and oceans are far away, typhoons do not reach the center of the country either. The Celestial Disc from Nebra is a bronze artifact with a diameter of 30 cm, created around the 7th century BC.
It is in the Archaeological Museum of Halle, Germany. The disk is covered with a green patina on which the sun, moon and 32 stars, including the Pleiades cluster, are depicted in gold.
The positioning of the stars in relation to each other and to the celestial luminaries is surprisingly precise. The disk even depicts the constellations in terms of proportions. This indicates a very high level of development of people of that period.
