Mammoths became extinct not long ago.
The founder of Yekaterinburg Prince V.N. Tatishchev in 1720 wrote "The Tale of the Mammoth Beast". According to the inhabitants of the Urals "Mammoth is a beast of great size with an elephant and more, a kind of black, has a head of two horns. Hunters presented to prince tusks of a mammoth in fresh blood as from a carcass of recently killed animal.
Tatishchev also writes: "I happened to hear from Swedish captives that they themselves saw the beast swimming across the river at night". Tatishchev's scientific investigation of mammoths (the first in the world) for unknown reasons was not published in Russia, it was published in Sweden and London.

Picts Stone🪨
A team of scientists discovered a 1.7-meter stone in a farmer's field during geophysical investigations. The slab is covered with classic Pictish abstract symbols. It depicts triple ovals, a ridge, a mirror, a crescent moon, a V-shaped rod and double disks. According to archaeologists, it dates from the V-VI centuries.
The stone was used in the construction of a huge building of the 11th or 12th century. It was erected over a settlement of Picts.

With this widespread opinion I would argue. Look at old maps that show South America and Antarctica as continents connected by an isthmus that could be freely traversed. The present Drake Strait, the characteristic trace on the seabed, the strange arrangement of islands along it clearly suggests that they were a single land, which means that the ancient peoples had no problem moving around. They went farther and farther away😎
