An abandoned mine in the UK.

While climbing into an abandoned mine, diggers deep underground came across a wall lined with bricks.

Who came up with the idea and why did they do it? Or was it just another cultural thing?

Impossible coincidence

New Yorkers have noticed an incredible resemblance between the Statue of Liberty, which is the main symbol of the United States, and the ancient goddess of darkness. People living in New York believe that it can't be a coincidence, and the statues were made incredibly similar on purpose.

Perhaps one of the most incredible sculptures in the world. It was created by an unknown French sculptor in the 19th century. It's kept in India's Salar Jung Museum.
The sculpture is known under the name "Double statue of Mephistopheles and Marguerite". The fact is that on one side of the statue is a male figure, and on the other - a female figure. Behind the sculpture there is a large mirror, so that you can see both figures and appreciate the skill of the author of this unusual creation. The sculpture is created from a single piece of the most ancient sycamore tree.

Centuries old shoes and footwear seemed to have had conductive metals inside the soles.

Our modern rubber soles and concrete floors definitely do not help with grounding and discharging positive ions.

Petrified trees in Arizona.

Think about it - a tree turned into a semi-precious stone. To do this, it had to be buried under a layer of earth, without access to oxygen, to absorb certain minerals under the influence of enormous temperatures and, at the same time, not to rot or burn.

What could create such conditions? A global catastrophe (meteorite or other celestial body falling) or a war of ancient civilizations described for example in Mahabharata?

The stone carvings on the walls of the Varamurthyeswarar temple in Tamil Nadu (India, naturally) depict the process of human conception and birth.

If the different stages of pregnancy surprise no one, the depiction of fertilization is simply unthinkable. Thousands of years before the discovery of these very cells, before ultrasound and the microscope, a detailed process of how cells meet, merge and grow in a woman's womb is carved on a 6000 year old temple.

This is a rally of Hitler supporters in 1937

No rally in the history of mankind has ever gathered so many people. Eight years later (in '45) they will say they never supported Hitler's ideas.

Ginny: the dog who saved 900 cats

Ginny, a dog who passed away in 2005, was famous for her love of cats. Once Ginny was taken from the shelter, she searched for and rescued them, then brought them to her owner.

The dog would find abandoned or stray cats in pipes, trash cans, and boxes. Ginny quickly became popular in the area, and owner Phillip Gonzalez established a cat fund named after her, where residents brought stray animals themselves.

In all, more than 900 cats were saved thanks to Ginny and her foundation, and in 1998 the Westchester Felinology Club named her "Cat of the Year.
