The magazine "Science and Inventions" in 1922 published an article about Plauson's invention
A balloon made of aluminum was filled with hydrogen or helium and at an altitude of 270m produced a direct current of 400 volts with a force of 1.8 amperes. Two balloons with a capacitor battery gave a power of 81 kilowatts per day.
As the author writes: "Its output is very large...There is no doubt that this invention will soon come into general use throughout the world...especially in rural areas and wherever water power is scarce.
The time is not far distant when nearly all our energy will be derived from the atmosphere...It is the cheapest form of energy known, much cheaper than water power...No destructive thunderstorms occur near such aerial power plants, because the balloons rapidly discharge the largest thundercloud, safely and silently through grounded spark gaps."
An invention that could provide cheap and affordable electricity. Is that why it was forgotten?

After returning home from the expedition, the materials (records, photos) disappeared, and now 120 years later some photos have appeared on the web.
There are a lot of photos, but it is possible to treat it in two ways, because here you can see creatures of new species, which we do not know about today!

In Pereslavl-Zalessky there is a copy of the Gospel of huge size. For people of our height (and we are told that the population for the last centuries has increased in height thanks to nutrition and comfortable conditions for living), such weight is exorbitant even for weightlifters.
