Faberge Egg

In 1901, a magnificent Easter egg decorated with precious stones and enamel was created. Nicholas II gave this egg to his mother, Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna, in honor of Easter. When we open the egg, we find an amazing surprise - a miniature golden replica of the palace in Gatchina.

The miniature palace in Gatchina is made with incredible care. Despite its height of only 3 cm, you can clearly see windows, cannons, trees and flags. The outside of the egg is decorated with masterfully executed gold enamel, silver, gilding, diamonds, rock crystal and pearls.

Time travel is real

In the 1950s, Rudolph Fenz appeared in Times Square in New York City. His costume was Victorian. He had sideburns on his face. According to eyewitnesses, he appeared out of nowhere and looked quite frightened. A couple minutes later, he was hit by a passing car. In the morgue studied all things, wanting to establish the identity of the deceased. The findings were quite surprising:

1. A business card had the name Rudolph Fenz written on it and his address in New York.
2. A beer token for a nickel. No one had heard of the name of the bar listed on it.
3. Dollars of a very old pattern.
4. A letter mailed to his name and address in 1876.
5. A bill for the service of a horse.
And all the finds were in perfect condition. There was a business at the address on the business card. They had never heard of Rudolf Fenz.
It turned out that the man disappeared in 1876 and was never found.

When it comes to the origin of Devil's Tower in the US, the most common comment is "and you dig, if it's a flint tree, there must be roots". Dig. Scientists from the Wyoming State Parks Department arranged for photographic seismic measurements, "We found what looks like a giant root system originating from the base of Devils Tower. The root system was measured to be 6.4km deep and 11.2km wide. We are currently conducting research and tests to confirm that it is in fact a root system and not a coincidence." Not for nothing did the Indians call this mountain the Tree of Life.

Round or flat?

We are taught from childhood that the earth is round and we fly in space around the sun. But is it really so?

It's no secret that ancient civilizations thought the Earth was flat. And believed it was. An experiment whose ethics are still debated today

In 1968, after the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., teacher Jane Elliot decided to teach her students a lesson in discrimination

She divided them into two groups - blue-eyed and brown-eyed. The brown-eyed students were relegated to the back of the class, while the blue-eyed students were given a number of privileges: more food for lunch, more time to play. As a result of the experiment, the brown-eyed kids actually did worse in school. The blue-eyed kids started to look down on them.

Then, she switched groups, saying she read a study (made up) that said brown-eyed students were much more successful than blue-eyed students. By the time the groups switched, the brown-eyed students had already gotten a taste of how unpleasant it is to be looked down upon. So they were more lenient with their classmates.

The experiment went viral throughout the country.

Hemingway fought in 2 world wars during his lifetime. In WW1 he was hit by a mortar and received 206 wounds and 26 pieces of shrapnel.

He survived anthrax, malaria, skin cancer, pneumonia and diabetes. He survived two car accidents and even survived a plane crash, survived a ruptured kidney, hepatitis, a ruptured spleen, and a fractured skull base. A crushed vertebrae fused and didn't even leave him paralyzed.

Eventually, he committed suicide.

In the early 1930s, Swedish aeronautical engineer Henri Kjellson observed in Tibet how monks were building a temple on a 400-meter-high rock. A stone, about one and a half meters in diameter, was piled in a 15cm deep pit, 63m from the pit (the engineer accurately measured all the distances) stood 19 musicians, followed by 200 monks arranged in radial lines. The stone lay in the center of this formation.

The musicians had 13 large drums, and between them 6 large metal pipes, also directed with sockets to the pit. At a special command, the whole orchestra would play loudly and the choir of monks would sing in unison. And when the sound reached its maximum, the boulder in the pit began to sway by itself and suddenly flew parabola straight to the top of the rock.

In this way, according to Henri's story, the monks lifted five or six huge boulders to the temple under construction every hour!
