Healing breathing
Today I want to tell you about the breathing method of one very famous Soviet scientist-physiologist Konstantin Pavlovich Buteyko!
The method is as follows: 👇
For 2 seconds you inhale; for 3 seconds you exhale. For 3 seconds you hold your breath.
That is, for 2 seconds you inhale (1...2...), then exhale for 3 seconds (1...2...3...). Then there is a 3-second breath hold.
And so cycling for 15 minutes a day.
What does this give us?
🔹 the blood is saturated with carbon dioxide;
🔹 the blood vessels are cleaned;
🔹 relaxes the heart muscle;
🔹 the lungs are cleansed;
🔹 calms the nervous system.
🔹 insomnia goes away (I like to do it before bed)
Recommended 🙏

Can climate change cause cancer?
A study conducted by a research institute in Australia evaluated the effects of climate change on public health. The results showed that one possible consequence was a change in the genes associated with the development of diseases such as schizophrenia, depression, and even cancer.

Houses built from stumps by 19th century American settlers
In the 19th century, when the Northwest Territories of the United States were just beginning to be developed, settlers were often faced with the problem of housing. One solution to this problem was the enormous stumps left behind when old trees were felled.
By hollowing out or burning the interior of the stump and using it as a roof, the settlers were able to obtain durable and temporary shelter that would even allow them to survive the winter. One of the first families to settle in such a stump house was the McAllisters in 1847. After that, stump houses began to appear much more frequently.

Did you know? The very first electric car dates back to... 1830s.
You would think that the electric car would be a recent invention, a continuation of the constant evolution of the automobile. However, in fact, this invention dates back to the early 19th century.
The electric car was actually created in the 1830s. In 1828, Anos Jedlik invented the electric motor. A few years later Robert Anderson invented the first electric car, between 1832 and 1839, the exact year is unknown.

"The Bathtub of Nesaualcoyotl" is a perfectly round-shaped pool carved in hard porphyry rock, located in the eastern part of the Mexican Valley.
The visible long, flat, sloping grooves on the walls of the basin are reminiscent of a drill. Similar fissures, like the one that goes over the edge of the basin, appear when there is excessive rotational loading.
Not that the Aztec technology is questionable, but it is difficult to imagine a drill or rig capable of making a hole 1.5 meters in diameter in the rock.

Forgotten technology from the past
The first pedestrian died under the wheels of a car in 1896 - the "lucky woman", who opened the million-dollar statistics, was a resident of London Bridget Driscoll. The speed of the car that hit her was "insane" by the standards of that time - about 13 kilometers per hour, which was twice the maximum allowable limit. After this incident, engineers from all over the world began to think about how to keep people safe with a ton of cold metal moving on them.
One of the technologies that was supposed to prevent accidents on the roads was a bucket that opens with a button.

Aztec Sun Stone.
It is now in the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City and is probably the most famous piece of Aztec sculpture.
The huge disc is 3.58 meters in diameter, 98 centimeters thick and weighs about 24 tons. The Aztec sun god Tonatiu is depicted in the center of the disc.
Modern research indicates that it was carved between 1502 and 1521.

The Peñon de Guatape stone rises among low hills, so it looks particularly imposing. It is 220 m high, with another 2/3 of the stone underground. It is believed to be more than 70 million years old.

Welding technology was known in the 19th century, but apparently was not considered as effective as riveting.
They fastened everything from pipes to bridges to ships with the same ease as nails to wood. They were somehow melted into even the most inaccessible places, despite the fact that they were made of steel.
Today, such a perfect connection can only be achieved with a CNC riveting press. But you understand yourself - it's difficult, expensive, and also noisy and vibrating. But how did our ancestors do it?
In the old pictures there is a riveter's tool, to which some kind of hose is attached. Apparently, this device melted the rivet and firmly seated it in the hole of the joint, requiring no helpers, no time, and no effort.
And here we are with CNC machines... It used to be better.
