“Do not come near us as long as you are upon this opinion of yours.”
He was a Murjee*.

* Translator’s Note: A Murjee is a person of deviation who believes in the deviated belief of al-Irjaa. Al-Irjaa is an innovated belief that actions are not part of Imaan. So according to this deviant belief Imaan does not increase or decrease; therefore with them a good deed does not increase Imaan and a bad deed does not decrease Imaan. Whereas the belief of Ahlus-Sunnah is that Imaan is belief and action. It increases with acts of obedience to Allaah and decreases with acts of disobedience to Allaah.

Al-Qaadee Abul-Hussain (d. 526H) rahimahullaah said in 'at-Tamaam':

“The narrations do not differ concerning boycotting the people of innovation and the Fussaaq (open sinners) from the Muslim community. Furthermore, there is no difference in that regard between the next of kin or a stranger if the right belongs to Allaah the Most High. However, when the right belongs to a human being, such as al-Qadhf (accusation of fornication and adultery), revilement, backbiting, usurping property by force and the likes of that then you have to examine and consider. So if the person being boycotted or the doer of that (evil deed) is from his close relatives and next of kin then it is not permissible to boycott him.”

The Great Fruits Of Belief In al-Qadar (The Pre-Decree) Of Allaah

By Shaykh Muhammad b. Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen rahimahullaah

Belief in al-Qadar (the Pre-Decree) has many great fruits, from them:

The First: Having I'timaad (reliance and dependence) upon Allaah, the Most High, after taking the necessary means, whereby, a person does not depend upon the means itself; since everything happens by the Qadar (Pre-Decree) of Allaah.

The Second: A person does not become amazed with himself when he succeeds in attaining his goals/objectives. Since attaining that is a blessing from Allaah, the Most High, which is brought about by what He has Pre-Decreed from the means to all good and success. Thus, being amazed with himself will make a person forget to be thankful (to Allaah) for this blessing.

The Third: Tranquillity and peace of mind with whatever happens to him from the Pre-Decree of Allaah, the Most High. So one should not feel miserable for losing something beloved nor for attaining something one dislikes. Since all of that only occurs by the Qadar of Allaah, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and earth. And it is something that will occur (i.e. take place as He Decrees it) there is no escaping it. And regarding that Allaah, the Most High, mentions:

“No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves but is inscribed in the Book of Decrees (Al-Lawh’ Al-Mah’footh), before We bring it into existence. Verily, that is easy for Allaah. In order that you may not be sad over matters that you fail to get, nor rejoice because of that which has been given to you. And Allaah likes not prideful boasters.” [Surah al-Hadeed: 22-23].

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"Amazing is the affair of the believer, for indeed all of his affair is Khayr (good). And that is not for anyone except for the believer. If any Sarraa (happiness and joy) reaches him, he gives thanks (to Allaah) and that is good for him. If any Darraa (harm and affliction) befalls him, he remains patient then that is good for him."
[Saheeh Muslim, (no.2999)].

The Greatest Threats & Dangers To The Ummah

By Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan hafidhahullaah

Question:
There are imminent threats and dangers that surround the Islaamic Ummah from all different sides; what is the most dangerous threat to the Ummah, and what path should be taken to prevent and counter this danger?

Answer:
The greatest threat that the Islaamic Nation faces is them being distant and far away from the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (ﷺ), and replacing them both with man-made laws and deviated ideologies.

And likewise, from the greatest dangers and threats that the Muslim Ummah faces is misguidance and straying from the correct 'Aqeedah (creed), and the infiltration and implantation of al-Afkaar (ideas/concepts) that are from unbelief (al-Kufriyyah), polytheism (ash-Shirkiyyah) and innovations from the grave-worshippers and the Soofees. And innovations and superstitions (from the grave-worshippers and Soofees).

Also, one of the greatest dangers to the Islaamic Ummah is the splitting up and disunity of the Ummah among themselves and having enmity for each other.

The i'laaj (treatment and cure) for all that is by returning back to the Book and the Sunnah; (which is) through learning, teaching, judging (by them both) between the people and adorning oneself with good manners and fine character in accordance to them both (i.e. the Qur'an and the Sunnah).

The Correct Stance Against Ignorance Of Tawheed, Affiliatiion To Foreign Ideologies & The Ideological Attack

The Correct Stance Against Ignorance Of Tawheed, Affiliatiion To Foreign Ideologies & The Ideological Attack

By Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan hafidhahullaah

Question:
What are the most prominent issues which need a firm stance (to be taken) from the Muslims in this era?

Answer:
The most prominent issues which are in need of firm stances (to be taken) from the Muslims in this era are:

The problem of ignorance in the 'Aqeedah of at-Tawheed among many of those who ascribe to al-Islaam, the affiliation to ideologies that are in opposition to Islaam, and the ideological attacks (upon true Islaam) that have come from the lands of unbelief to the lands of Islaam.

All of these affairs require a correct stance and a strong rebuttal. And that is through clarification of the correct Islaam - (which is) by way of its 'Aqeedah (creed), its wise legislation and by warning against everything that opposes it - through academic curriculums, the many means of the media and distribution of beneficial books.
